So far last night I got as far as putting together the installer stick per the above guide, now to make @metacollin's changes tonight.

Hi,

I'm trying to have PM in a Z840 with 2xXeon E5-2623 v4. Anybody know if exist some 10.11.6 kernel patch like Pike's patch for Sierra? I'm unable to find any way after test all possible FakeCpuIDs, not booting with any.

I'm working fine with NullCpu kext, no audio, no usb 3.0, but i'm trying to fin the way to do the trick with PM.

Any comment will be appreciated,

@davidahn were you able to install macOS using the Supermicro and the XEON? I'm on the same boat
