I am so glad that so far the UK has NOT backed the EU mandate that Apple should compulsorily use a USB-C port instead of Lightning.
This has to have been the most pointless piece of legislation of recent times. Perhaps next all mains power sockets in our houses should be the same?
Coming up with rules like this seems like well-paid work if you can get it. It's a waste of time and government money that could be used for more worthy causes.
