About This Build:

Being a linux guy that really likes FreeBSD, I started playing around with OS X on a Core 2 Duo 1.83GHz @ 3.2GHz. I also play around with music, and video editing. After being able to try out Final Cut Pro X and GarageBand, I decided to build something OS X based to take on these tasks. I also wanted to be able to play games so that affected some of the hardware choices I made. I knew I wanted a SSD for the operating system, but I also knew I would need more space. I setup a software RAID 0 and symlinked the Documents, Downloads, Movies, Music, and Pictures directories. I also made an Apps directory that I use to install some of the larger applications on.

The was originally setup with 10.7.4 and a GTX 560, but with Moutain Lion I rebuilt the machine to clean out dust and remove and replace bad drives so this build is the most recent iteration of the box.

Comments:

Installation was a breeze! Download Moutain lion, make the USB stick with UniBeast, boot, install, run the CustomBeast I got earlier via a donation to TonyMAC, update nVidia drivers, done!

Working 100% with the normal 3rd party USB 3 issues. For some unknown reason after a cold boot, the hard drive shows up as external. Reboot, and it shows up as internal until powered off. The water cooling system is installed the worse possible way, and still performs far better then any air setup I've ever had. The radiator is mounted in the 5.25 drive bay area.

I wanted a little more stock looking Chimera so I edited the Chameleon 2.0 theme to something that looks a little more like the real deal, I also hid all the non OS related drives. I like having the OS X drive on my desktop but didn't like seeing all the other drives so I set the windows drives to not mount at boot in fstab. Then I hid the Time Machine, and RAID 0 drives with the SetFile command.

I want to ask if you used any boot parameters to boot the installer for the gtx 760?
