The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

Hey folks. I’ve got a casing for my OptiMac. This price of this generation Power Mac casing is soaring here in up north. I’ll post pictures once I complete transplantation.

This is an insanely good deal on a 7020 MT from Newegg.
  • Processor: Core i5-4570 3.2 GHz
  • Memory: 16GB RAM DDR3 1600 MHz
  • Hard Disk Drive: 512 GB SSD
  • Operating System: Windows 10 Pro
  • System Includes: Wireless T-Wolf Keyboard, Mouse and Wi-Fi Dongle
All this for $140 ! You won't see this, with these specs anywhere else on line. Don't hesitate if you need a hackintosh. They only have 6 of these at this price, they'll sell fast. EDIT: Price has gone back up since 8/19/21.

This is extremely helpful! Thank you!

I figured out the wiring of the front power button, hook them up, and now it's working. I don't know why the circuit gives permanent ON to the LED though.

8/19/21 EDIT: This deal has ended. Was just too good. Now back up to $229

Another great deal, this time on an SFF 9020. Really can't beat this price $125.95 for the specs.

Dell Desktop i5-4590 Quad-Core CPU 3.4 GHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM NEW 512 GB SSD Hard Drive WiFi Windows 10 Pro PC (don't know if the Wifi dongle is compatible)

Success, Catalina on my 7020 SFF i5 after a smooth install, less than an hour. I got very lucky on an auction site and got this SFF with Win10, 1tb, 16gb ram for less than $100.

After testing some various cards (R5 240, Gt 730, GT 635) I settled on the GT 635 because the performance was better than the particular 730 I had, and it was very cheap. As expected, 'it just works'.

Love that the audio ports work. I typically used USB DACs on other builds so I didn't have to figure out audio. Thanks @trs96

Looks like you've now got two Dells and two HP pre-builts and saved a lot of $ in the process. Nice work.

Current good deal on the recommended 9020 MT PSU. This is by EVGA, 600W semi-modular and fits where the existing Dell PSU is placed. $34.99 is the best price you'll find for a semi-modular name brand model. The Seasonic is a great deal too but 750W is much more than you'd ever need in a 9020 MT.

Don't forget the required 24 pin to 8 pin adapter that allows this to work in a Dell MT.

Think I'll jump on this train, ordered a 9020 i7 MT (also a 3020 for my spouse to replace an aging mac mini). Moving over from my Sniki HP 8300 running Mojave beautifully, but want to put the 9020 in a G5 case/LaserHive conversion kit that I've had stored forever. Will be curious to see if my GT 710 works with Big Sur, I suspect not.

Many of the GT 710s do work with Big Sur. What brand is yours ? DDR3 ram ?
