I restored (typing from memory) AppleFrameBufferCapri, AppleHDA and AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB kexts from the Base DMG = flawless boot and no more HDMI screen gone haywire!

Latest update on my upgrade.

The good news:
- Scrambled screen is gone
- Audio no longer going wrong over HDMI after a few minutes
- I don't need to use the GenericXHCI USB driver, everything works as is (one exception below)

The bad news:
- For some reason, one HDD doesn't get recognized until I reconnect it.
- I can't update iLife and iWork from the App store, with a "Different Apple ID used" error even though I've never had any other and my install is from the DVD.

My New Brix I3 "Mac Micro"

1st wanted to say thanks to Tony and other posters for all the hard / creative work to the Hackintosh community. I'd purchased a Brix I3 PC about 4 weeks ago. Initially I've been testing various Linux distributions when I came across this web site. So using the info in Tony's original posting on this thread I had working "Mac Micro" within a couple of hours. Using the latest tools and Mavericks version of OS X I've had zero problems except for the duly noted WiFi limitation.

The most pleasant surprise is I've been able to get Bluetooth connectivity working using the following Intel Wifi/Bluetooth combo mini-PCI board:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007QXLIWI/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm currently using this capability to direct all my audio output to a Bose SoundLink Bluetooth speaker...sounds fantastic. I don't know how unique the Wifi portion of this card is but if someone could get this to work, all of us would be able to use the full capabilities of the Brix PC's Wifi/Bluetooth features. Thanks again to all!

please

somebody to check with the brix : when you unplug the cable and plug it again : it works ? you have a correct IP

For me, it seems that the brix does not receive the answer from the DHCP

and I have poor and variable speed when I launch a transfert through the brix : a maximum of 400 Mb/s and very variable

My transfert test consists of copying from my NAS (12 discs raidz) directly to the SSD of the Brix and they are connected to giga ethernet.

very strange ...

I had the same issue. BRIX i5. 10.8.4

I am using the following configuration in Mukltibeast:
User DSDT (created by myself booting linux)
AppleINtelCPUPowerMangement 10.8.4
mac mini 6,2
TRIM patch
USB 3.0

and manually add Realtek Ethernet (10.6/10.7/10.8/10.9/10.10) [25.04.2013] 3.0.4 with kext utility (ln2mac kext was slow and reported errors in osx log)

Ethernet works perfectly at 1Gbit, USB 3.0, WIFI (replaced original card),...

I have been unable to update to 10.8.5. After several days trying, I re installed 10.8.4 which is completely stable. Waiting to have some time to try Mavericks.

Hi guys,

Is the dsdt file BIOS version sensitive? as soon as I install the dsdt provided on page 1, I have not been able to restart since it crashes. I updated BIOS to version F6. It originally comes with version F3. I can't downgrade to version F3 since Gigabyte support page only provides versions F4 and up. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hi dbc
I've the same brix as you (i5) but I'm having hdmi audio issues, could you provide me with your dsdt.aml or / and explain how to patch the dsdt with the required files to get hdmi audio.

thanks

DegsyC
