How about the i5 version, installation is as good as i3 version?

Appreciated for further information.

Today I have received the i5 BRIX.

I have used Tony's DSDT.aml file patching AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext and Realtek - Lnx2Mac's RealtekRTL81xx

ISSUE: in standard boot stops showing = unknown cpu model 0x3a !!!!

I can boot with -x and I does well: Ethernet, USB3.0, ... no Bluetooth no WIFI.

If I use dart=0 Kernel Flag the Brix boots correctly (but does not detect specific monitor resolution)

I guess that this is because the DSDT.aml file has been generated for the i3 version.

Any advise to solve "unknown cpu model 0x3a" error ?

Thanks

So I just installed my i3 Brix and once I got up and running with -x I installed MultiBeast with the User DSDT.aml from the first post, checked the Power management patch and told it to be a mac mini. I also installed the latest Chimera. I need to go back and do the Network driver, but I have no USB now... thoughts?

FIXED - Used the Generic USB 3.0 driver in Multibeast.

After some reading and learning I have generated a SSDT for my Brix i5. Now I get these p-states

MSRDumper PStatesReached: 12 13 16 25 27

Is this correct ? Is this means that power management is working well ?

I am using mac mini definition. Not sure if I should be doing anything else.

Current Status:
Startup ok
Standup & wake up -it works, but it takes like 5 min to wakeup
Geekbench (32 bit edition)=5967
wifi not working
ethernet ok
usb 3.0 ok

Thanks

Hi dbc, I just got myself a i5 Brix as well. Would you mind posting your SSDT?

I'm still waiting for my mSata and wifi cards to show up, but I'll report back about the install as soon as they do.

Also, what BIOS version are you BRIX owners running? Mine shipped with F3, wondering if there's any advantage to flash to F4 or F5.
