Try MountainLion without the space.

In the Terminal of both OS X and *NIX, a space must be preceded by a \. Thus,

cp: directory /Volumes/Mountain Lion

becomes

cp: directory /Volumes/Mountain\ Lion

I decided to go for it so I got my full new rig thanks to this post. Components arrived yesterday in the morning and by 5pm, I had a fully working build.

Gigabyte z87x-UD5h
i7-4770K
GTX570

Everything works, including Network and my external M-Audio Firewire Interface (so I haven't tested the MOBO'S audio).

Overclocked to a safe 4.2Ghz@1,1v for now and got 39º Idle and around 70º at full load. That gave me 17780 in Geekbench64 and 62,75 fps in Cinebench OpenGL, so I'm assuming everything works (apart from no os cpu power management, of course). I've even decided this thing is stable enough to be declared: My current WorkStation (I do this http://www.omarjosef.com )

Thanks for the helper!!!

Please Help! i have a working haswell pc, but the graphics card and the sound aren't working!

I ordered the following parts and will be attempting this over the weekend.

Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz
Asus MAXIMUS VI GENE Micro ATX
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
2x Samsung 840 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card
Asus PCE-N53 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter
Corsair 350D Window MicroATX
Corsair 760W 80 PLUS Platinum

I'll be sure to post my results.

Any idea when a vanilla Haswell kernel will be out? Also, I'm assuming this installation procedure will change, or be tweaked next week when 10.8.5 is allegedly going to be released?

It shouldn't be long for the release of 10.8.5. The installation will be the same. If you install using the temporary installation guide then all you will need to do is update to 10.8.5 and then remove NullCPUPowermanagement.kext from System/Library/Extensions (S/L/E). But only after you have patched the BIOS on your Asus Motherboard.
