maybe my psu is non standard. I have been test fitting with an old powersupply from an hp computer, but I have a corsair cx550 coming that I know is standard.

yup as dschijn said the corsair cx500 should just fit. I used some really thin foam tape on the top of the case and bottom shelve to both tighten up and pad the power supply into the top shelf. This made for a tight fit, and there was not any need for screws to hold it in posistion.

Hi taumaz! I'm planning on modding a G5 myself, and I must say I really liked your hard drive cage design. You said you designed the side plates in CAD and had them water jet cut; do you still have, perhaps, the CAD file? If you don't mind, could you please send it to me?
