Hi everyone!
I've upgraded my system with 2x4GB DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaws 1600 Mhz. The problem is: now my system is slower! The XBench and Geekbench are worse than when I put the DDR2 800MHz memory. I've checked and the BIOS recognizes the RAM perfectly so...what's happening? I've tried with only one 4GB module too...
My mobo is GA-P55M-UD2 and processor is Core i7 860, with 10.6.4 OSX.
Geekbench with DDR2 800MHz -> 8500
Geekbench with DDR3 1600 MMhz -> 3500
Help me please!!
+UPDATE+
If i configure the BIOS to get 800Mhz (6.0 Multiplier) with the DDR3 1600Mhz RAM, the result in Geekbench increases!! -> 6661
So, less speed and worse memory and the system goes faster. Why??
