system info has HDA but system pref audio has no devices?

hello, I have a gigabyte GA-Z170N-WIFI version 1.0 mobo using the intel gpu. I've tried the different drivers from multibeast

• ALC892
• ALC1150
• 100 Series Audio

I've tried toleda's audio codec detect. here's the output.

I can't seem to get audio to work. the system information detects HDA but the system preferences > sound > output and input shows no device.

has anyone gotten audio to work on this board and macOS Sierra?
