I've been following this guide and I cant seem to get past step 9 under "
Install on Hack"
I've successfully booted into the operating system once, went through the 10.10 initial installer, installed clover and kexts, and then when I reboot and go back in, I can't get past the System Uptime error.
I've tried a variety of flags but no luck
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Thats a Kernel Panic.
The extension that caused it was AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement

Do you have HPET enabled at 64 bit in your BIOS?

The easiest solution is to just install NullCPUPowerManagement, its a quick and dirty fix.

If you actually want power management it will take a little more configuration.
Don't quote me on that, I'm not experienced with HPET and Power Management.

Also, when you get future Kernel Panics <panic> you can google the extension caused by it (if caused by an extension) which will usually generate a good amount of results.

If you help me with one more thing, I will forever be in you debt.
How do I install NullCPUPowerManagemnt in clover?
I threw the kexts in both the EFI partition and on the regular place in the extensions folder. Is there anything else that need to be done?

Thanks again for identifying the problem!

Sounds like you have them in the right place. Just make sure you've got the boot flag kext-dev-mode=1 set. It's required for Yosemite to load unsigned kext files.

EDIT:

Of course, if I had actually LOOKED at your screen shots I would have seen you have it. D'oH!

EDIT 2:

If you're still booting with the USB the location of the kexts is something like /EFI/CLOVER/KEXTS/10.10

So I'll try again making sure the HPET is enabled at 64 bit in my BIOS and that the kexts are in the right place because it might not be.

Just to be clear VenatorFox, I dont need to add any strings or anything to my
config.plist or any info.plist or anything like that? Just put the kext in the right place and thats it?
