I recently installed Security Update 2016-004 for 10.10.5, and now my system freezes every time I put it to sleep. When I put it to sleep it appears to sleep as usual, but when I try to wake it up the screen wakes but I'm stuck on a frozen lock screen. I installed the update as I usually do, and only reinstalled audio drivers. The console log following the sleep command shows these messages:

Any help is greatly appreciated. I've stuck with 10.10.5 and Chimera because my system has been functioning well for a long time now, but this may push me into Clover.

I'm having exactly the same issue, on the same MoBo, but with a different video card.
I'm pretty sure it's a driver issue, becuase the system will sleep if I boot into safe mode.

Wondering if you guys got this resolved. I've been waiting on taking this update to see if there have been any issues.

I gave up and upgraded to El Capitan.
So, that has a different sleep problem, one that is very well documented and tied to my video card. I finally decided to get an Nvidia video card and get around the problem that way. The card should be here early this week.

Got the card today (A used PNY Geforce GTX770). I had already downloaded and installed the webdrivers, so it was just a matter of removing my old card and installing this one. Seems to sleep and wake perfectly.

I also decided to make the switch to Clover and El Capitan. Had some freezing issues at first, but I determined that they were mostly caused by Safari. Everything seems stable after switching to a different browser, and sleep/wake is working great.
