Hello,
I just successfully installed Mavericks on my new system. Everything works great except for my firewire card (this one: http://goo.gl/pFetZR). Under System Information it lists both the Firewire 800 and 400 buses, so it looks like it should work. But when I hook up a Firewire 800 drive, I get nothing.

This didn't work in Mountain Lion either.

Any thoughts?

Here are my specs:
Intel Core i7-4770K Quad-Core Desktop Processor 3.5 GHZ
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5H Z87
Samsung MZ-7TD250BW 840 Series Solid State Drive (SSD) 250 GB Sata 2.5-Inch
Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10)
GeForce GTX 570 HD 1280 MB
Cooler Master HAF Mid-Tower
Corsair TX750W Power Supply

Thanks.

Hi
I have that same Syba FW card as well as processor and motherboard and it's working for me on 10.8.5

Have you tried switching PCIe slots? Mine is in the first slot closest to the processor.

I was curious if I needed to add any Firewire loader, etc. from MultiBeast, but I literally installed the card and it worked on its own.
