I purchased this card whenever I buying the parts for my BIG SUR build. I wanted to post this to let others know this card works fine OOB with Big Sur and I am sure it will work with previous version of OSX. Here are the specs:

  • Using a ASM1806 PCIe bridge eliminates the need for a Port Multiplier when combining the Dual Marvell 9215 Chipset allowing to reach maximum bandwidth per port.
  • Compliant with PCI-Express Specification v2.0 and backwards compatible with PCI-e 1.x
  • Supports Communication Speeds: 6.0 Gbps, 3.0 Gbps, 1.5 Gbps
  • Support Native Command Queue (NCQ). Support Hot plug and Hot Swap.
  • Supports AHCI 1.0 programming interface registers for the SATA controller

I knew it would work because of the ASM 1806 and Marvell 9215 chipset. That Marvell Chipset is used on Highpoint cards. This card comes with TWO breakout cables each having 4 SATA breakouts.

It works perfect. If you are like me, I have 10 HDDs for storage.
