At this moment the only hardware swapped was the motherboard, moving from ASUS TUF Z370 to ASUS Prime Z390. CPU, memory, GPU, SSDs all remain the same.

Getting KP:
AppleNVMe Asset failed ...... IONVMEController.cpp line: 5416

- I've updated BIOS to newest version
- Optimized BIOS and then ensured CFG lock - disabled, XHCI hand-off - enabled, VT-d - disabled
- Updated VirtualSMC and Lilu to the latest versions
- Added the new NVMeFix kext (which appears to be failing to load)

This system was booting and a fully working Catalina install previously.

Files attached, pls help!

Search for 1683.

Thanks. I searched and followed this post. When I opened my DSDT.aml with MacIASL, I was able to find both H_EC and EC0.

H_EC returned a zero, EC0 did not. I added the EC0 > EC patch to config.plist.
I tried booting both with and without SSDT-EC.aml file in ACPI/patched but it's still panicking at the same spot. Also tried removing the NVMeFix.kext.

Your image in Post #1 does not show a kernel panic.
If you are experiencing a kernel panic then you should upload a picture of it for diagnosis.

I thought all failed boots were referred to as KPs
You are mistaken, kernel panics are referred to as KPs.

Your problem still seems to be related to the EC (or a lack of one) :

This commonly manifests itself with a hang at apfs_module_start:1683.

The most common remedy is to add SSDT-EC.aml to /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched which you claim to have done, so unfortunately I have no other ideas other than to use the forum Search tool for a Guide that uses hardware similar to your own.
