Hello everybody.

I am trying to install 10.14 on a Surface Pro 6 (release in oct 2018). Some owners of Surface Pro 5 have successfully installed (guides in links) Mac Mojave and High Sierra.

I stuck in Kernel Panic and even it froze before showing the Kernel Panic message. The process stops about 6 seconds. Here three photos attached in this post.

Most issues of Kernel Panic related to Surface Pro series are graphic problems.
I’ve already taken my measure by modifying ig-platform-id to 0x12345678 in my config.list (in MyDrive) to deal at post-install like Surface Pro 5 owners.
So I guess, it isn’t graphic issue.

Emileet wrote (11th April 2018) to get rid of Lilu.kext from CLOVER/kexts/Other. But it isn’t the case.

I am skeptical about the cause of SSD brand.
Surface pro 5 has Samsung SSD. Surface pro 6 has Skhynix SDD.
Because I doubt that at this stage of the installing, it turns into Panic.
Plus, there isn’t a message mentioning hard drive in the kernel messages.

My friend and I saw a processor issue and suspected is CPU power management.
We try a few combinations of setting config.plist/ACPI/SSDT/drooped=true, CStates and PStates=true OR alternate DropTables as suggested in the Note regarding CPU power management and SSDTs.
We didn’t figure out despite many configurations. Maybe we got wrong.

Do you have any ideas.

I will update this post as guide.

No KP in any of these pics. Attach the CLOVER folder as zip.

Hello fivos1996,

Firstly, thank you for replying to my message.
I attached my Clover in this message (another link from MyDrive).

Note: In drivers64UEFI, I removed AptioMemoryFix-64.efi and OsxAptioFix*.efi because both (even keeping one and removing) are blocking the laptop at End Randomseed.

Thank you in advance for your time. I truly appreciate!

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html
The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"

Hello RehabMan,
Thank you for the remind.

I've forgotten to attached my Clover according Problem Reporting files guideline in my first message.
I uploaded the zipped clover in my second message.

try an unmodified config.plist from the laptop guide linked above

remove those extra kexts from clover/kexts/other

try without dsdt files in acpi/patched

Hello Feartech,

Thank you for your message.
I tried with a friend from scratch and redownloaded from every source.

We tried 2 versions (attached files in this message):
We didn't add DSDT in ACPI/PATCH and touch config.plist.
(Version 1 of 21h16) One containing Kexts from Clover 4784 without extra Kexts from another clover.
(Version 2 of 21h26) This contains Kexts from Clover 4784 and extra Kexts from clover in my second message.

None of both version is work. I am blocking in the cache (I guess) with the message End Randomseed ?
See picture below.

Thank you again, Feartech, for your time.

Your kexts/Other is not per guide.
Your config.plist also not from the guide.
Refer to the guide:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Hello Rehab,
Indeed, config.plist was made from Clover 4784 (picked up on google), the one in the guide is Clover 4798.
We corrected it (I attached config.plist).
However we do not understand why our Kexts/Other is not per guide.
We followed the links in guide clover.148093.
For example, the way we picked up FakeSMC is explain in these 3 pictures.

However, it ends up still at Randomseed.

Thank you RehabMan
