A big part of why mine is so silent is definitely the passive power supply. No matter how high-end PSU I have tried so far, they all have a little buzzing or blower noise. Soon I have to give in, because the plan is to get a i5-3570K and a GTX770, and for that to happen I will need more power than my current 400watt.

Beside that, the NoiseBlocker fans are without a doubt the most silent fans I have ever come across, you will be amazed if you switch.

Really good build. Thanks for sharing all your hard work! :)

You're right about changing fans. OEM ones on quality kit are usually great and up to the job but they are rarely tuned for silence. I changed mine from the stocks to either Be Quiet or Noctua. Plus I recommend using a little logic when choosing what to use and where. For example, no point having 10 fans pulling air in, if the exit is small or covered with one mediocre fan. Balance.

    :)
