Hello,

I already have C602 based HP workstation (Z420) up and running with 10.10 for months now. Quite cool.

I need to storage server. I have been looking into eBay and i find the super micro servers to be most suitable for me. (i don't think i need the 36 bays but there are other similar systems with 24 and 16 bays)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Supermicro-4U-36-Bay-Storage-Server-X9DRI-LN4F-2x-E5-2670-128GB-6047R-E1R36N-/152016810699?hash=item2364e872cb:g:kGwAAOSwT6pVtt3I

I just need to know two things about it.

1- will it be able to run OS X. 10.10 at least. I know that X9DRi-LN4F+ will work. but overall system, will it work?
2- How about the RAID card. AOC-SAS2LP-H8iR (or any other RAID cards) with SAS2 connectors and server backplanes. Are these sort of things support by OS X? i need to run RAID 6.

Although this system can run other OS for storage server, i prefer OS X as i can run very easily the virtual systems i like and still have the nice OS X functionality.

I appreciate your support on this one.
