I'm doing a podcast, where we are using several USB-microphones (snowballs), and so far we've been doing alright with some cheap USB-hubs. We have a problem though that it's not completely stable. We have dropouts now and then and i suspect either the lack of a dedicated PSU or maybe more reliable connections to the cables.
Does anyone know of a system where you can more or less fixate the USB-cables?

Hope to hear some suggestion.

I highly recommend Plugable Hubs. I have a 60 watt 7 port USB 3.0 hub that can charge everything and power external drives at the same time. The power brick is serious business. Plus, they are at the same price point as other inferior hubs. http://plugable.com
