Steps:
- Remove GTX980 from your build and install an older GPU that is compatible (in this Guide I'm using the Geforce 8400 GS).

- Restart.
- When you try to boot into your Yosemite Volume you might get an error:
- Boot0 = Error
- If you get this error then do the following if not then Skip to the next Step:
- boot system back into OS X installer.
- Run Disk Utility and unmount the drive you installed OS X on. Right click on the volume and select Unmount.
- Launch Terminal and execute the following command:
Code:
dd if=/usr/standalone/i386/boot1h of=/dev/disk0s2 - Exit Terminal
- Reboot Normally
- NOTE: The above instructions are based on OS X being installed to a hard drive connected to SATA port 0. If you are using a different port you will need to get the drive device name from Disk Utility by selecting the volume and clicking Info.
- This Guide is made by MacMan in the Post: boot0 Error: The Official Guide
- Now Start up your Build with these flags:
- -v GraphicsEnabler=Yes npci=0x2000 (use: -f -x if boot doesn't work).
- If your update is 10.10.3 Then skip this step if not then follow this guide:
- OS X 10.10.3 Update and also Look at Stork Comment and also Use the 10.10.3 Combo.
- Now go to the NVIDIA Alternate Graphics Drivers and install it then Reboot with the same flags.
- Go to System Preferences > NVIDIA Driver Manager > Then Select NVIDIA Web Driver.
- Now Go to Finder > /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist and edit that and search for the line
- <key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>kext-dev-mode=1</string>
and make it as this:
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>kext-dev-mode=1 npci=0x2000 nvda_drv=1</string>
- <key>Kernel Flags</key>
- Save that file and Shutdown your Build then Uninstall the Old Graphic Card and add the GTX980 then boot up with no boot-flags.
- All done Enjoy
