SUMMARY:

What Does Not Work

• MOBO wifi
  
• MOBO sound card
• macOS sleep
• VEGA FE is not OOB, it needs npci=0x2000 and AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy by Pike(c) on clover, "kernel & kext patches", if not apply on 10.13.03+ sometimes when you turn off and on very often, the graphics card appears black after finishing the progress bar of the white apple screen

This is an AWESOME build!!!

Did you have any trouble with the "Sonnet Allegro Pro USB 3.0 PCIe" crashing your system on boot?

I have a HP Z800 prebuilt system that is running High Sierra with Clover 4411.

I installed a "Sonnet Allegro Pro USB 3.0 PCIe" but after selecting the boot drive and watching it in verbose mode, it almost right away it errors out and stops the boot process.

If I take out the Allegro Pro USB card, the machine boots fine.

Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated.

Great Build, i want an i9 machine, just need to collect the $$$ to do it.

Hi deskmount,

Sonnet Allegro Pro works fine OOB. In fact, with the usual hackintosh USB 3 kext, operation in backups that last for a long time ends up giving errors, that's why I use Sonnet Allegro Pro since the drivers are guaranteed OOB since Sonnet is an Apple partner, and you include their drivers in the distributions of OSX.

At first, I had problems in my MOBO x299 Aorus Gaming 9 with the slot that I selected to install my PCIe boards, in the end it turned out to be, that depending on where you install the M.2 hard drive, there are conflicts with the SATA ports and / or with the PCIe slots that you can use, that's what you put in the manual of my MOBO, ... but I do not know if this will be applicable to your MOBO.

For the rest, I have the following in the clover section "Kernel & Kext Patches" I have the typical USB input ...

... , but I doubt it applies to official Sonnet drivers.

intel core i9-10980XE 18 core 36thread (OOB no delid is required heatsink thermal disipation is now optimal, only just change TSCAdjustReset.kext parameter to IOCPUNumber=35 accord with the core-threads numbuber - 1. Windows and Linux also works fine without any changes)
