I use this computer as my main rig switching between OS X and WIN 10. The main purpose of this machine was to directly upgrade from my 2014 iMac 5k which got me about 20-25 FPS gaming and now I’m over a 100 FPS in most games. And they say you can’t game on a Mac HAHA!

Installation:

STEP 1: PLEASE NOTE THIS WAS 10.12 NOT 10.12.1 See this link on how you can download 10.12.

1. Start by downloading macOS Sierra on a existing Mac or Hackintosh from App Store.
2. After you are done, you will have a new app in your Applications called “install macOS Sierra”

STEP 2:

1. Insert USB 2.0 or 3.0 into a empty USB drive on your computer.
2. Do a spotlight search for DISK UTILITY or open Open /Applications/ Utilities/ Disk Utility
3. Select the USB drive to the left.(NOT 2nd drop down window) *VERY IMPORTANT DO NOT SELECT YOUR CURRENT HARD-DRIVE*
4. Erase button at top middle
5. Name is Sierra, Format : OS X Extended (Journaled), Scheme : GUID Partition Map
6. Erase

Step 3:

1. Click link and Log in to Tonymacx86 site or register, then download UniBeast latest version 7.0.1 ATM. https://www.tonymacx86.com/resources/categories/tonymacx86-downloads.3/
2. At top right of page then click download button.(You must make a account on tonymacx86 site to download)
3. Click Continue, Continue, Continue, Continue, Agree.
4. Pick the USB and then Continue.
5. Select Your Sierra OS X
6. Select UEFI Boot Mode
7. Select nothing for Graphic injects
8. You should have at Summary: USB, Sierra, UEFI Boot Mode then continue.

At this time it will start copying the files and building your OS X it may take anywhere from 10 minute to a whole Hour depending on your USB and Computer. DO NOT TOUCH OR MOVE THE WINDOWS. JUST WAIT.

Step 4:

1. Click link to download latest version of MultiBeast and then drag that to your USB. https://www.tonymacx86.com/resources/multibeast-sierra-9-0-1.329/
2. Click link to download latest version of Nvidia Drivers and then drag that to your USB. http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/107807/en-us

Step 5:

1. Plug USB into computer you wish to install OS X Sierra on.
2. During start up press Del key several times during start up/splash screen.
3. Load the following BIOS settings:

Loaded optimized default ————————SAVE & EXIT TAB

XMCI Hand-off ->Enable ————————PERIPHERALS TAB

Super IO Configuration-> Disable—————PERIPHERALS TAB

VT-d ->Disable——————————————CHIPSET TAB

Windows 8/10 features -> Other OS————BIOS FEATURES TAB

Storage Boot Option Control -> UEFI Only—BIOS FEATURES TAB

Boot Option #1 -> UEFI USB drive————————BIOS FEATURES TAB

SAVE & EXIT​

Step 6:

1. During new load screen select Boot Mac OS X From USB.
2. Choose your language.
3. At top menu bar choose Utilities and Disk Utility
4. Highlight the drive you wish to install Sierra on (Make sure you don’t pick your USB drive)
5. Erase drive
6. Name is Sierra, Format : OS X Extended (Journaled), Scheme : GUID Partition Map
7. Close Disk Utility
8. Continue with installation and select Sierra as your drive you wish to install OS X too.
9. Computer will take about 15 minutes to install the OS X to the drive then restart

Step 7:

1. At boot screen select the New Sierra option usually at the right.
2. Finish OS X installation steps with your personal information like WiFi, computer name, & iCloud.

Step 8:

1. USB drive should open if not open it.
2. Select MultiBeast.
3. Select the following commands:

-UEFI Boot Mode

-Realtek Audio ALC1150 & 100 series Audio

-IntelMausiEthernet v2.2.0

-System Definition 14,2​

Then Restart Computer

Step 9:

1. At boot screen select Sierra.
2. Open USB and run Nvidia Drivers
3. After installed restart computer & remove USB.
4. During Gigabyte boot screen press DEL several times to get back into BIOS
5. Go under BIOS Features TAB and change Boot Option #1 to UEFI Sierra drive
6. Save and exit.

CONGRATS OS X Sierra is now working.

PS. If you Nvidia drivers did not stick and you booted but had glitchy lines running though screen or your Graphics Card is not show under APPLE LOGO TOP LEFT- ABOUT THIS MAC- GRAPHICS follow next step.

1. Mount EFI Partition LINK: https://www.tonymacx86.com/resources/efi-mounter-v3.280/

2. Open /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist with text edit, Xcode, or Plist Editor Pro

3. Edit the following usually towards the bottom:

        <key>InjectSystemID</key>

        <key>NvidiaWeb</key>
        <true/>
    </dict>

4. Remove Boot/Arguments/nvda_drv=1 if necessary

5. Save and reboot

UPDATING TO 10.12.1:
Update using the App Store update tool.
everything continued to work besides Nvidia drivers but I just went into
System preferences > NVIDIA Driver Manager > Graphic Drivers> Checked for update > installed new software> restart.
This fixed my GTX 970 and audio stayed working as well as all other settings.

Nice work! I have a very similar build, so I'm gonna give this a go on my spare SSD for Sierra (currently running El Capitan).

How did you resolve the sleep issue?! If I have anything plugged into the front USB ports or my WIFI/BT Combo card plugged into the USB 2.0 mobo header (as required for it to work!), the machine wakes 1 second after going to sleep.

Most other people with this board are having the same issue too...

I used clover to edit my plist under ACPI
And checked fixshutdown and under new fix wake however if asleep for too long Audio does not work when woken up working on that still.

Awesome! May I ask what the ACPI edit is? I'm using a separate sound card so the audio isn't a big issue for me.

Run the codec commander kext for audio after sleep. And if you're having issues with the computer going to or waking or not waking from sleep, use darkwake=0

Awesome! May I ask what the ACPI edit is? I'm using a separate sound card so the audio isn't a big issue for me.

It's a setting section in your config plist and the best way to modify it is with Clover Configurator

i have exactly the same setup except i have the Asus 980 Ti, i keep getting a black screen after Clover boot. I tried with either the modification of config and without, somehow it didnt seem to work, so im switching back to El capitan, seems like a problem with the Nvidia drivers, also i cannot update since the newer update in Apple store is not supported by nvidia at the moment -_-.

Sierra 10.12 is working fine and Nvidia has the correct drivers on their site to get the Hackintosh up and running
