Thanks for the guide!
My hardware are almost like what you built.
I followed your steps strictly , but I met problems on step 7. I have no idea what I should do. I would like to use your usb mapping, can you describe more details for that?
One more thing, I physically removed the build-in WiFi card on the mobo. I bought the BCM943602CS WIFI/BT card and M.2 NVMe adapter trying to get WiFi/BT work. In the beginning, the BCM chip with adapter was installed on the back of the mobo. The system didn't recognize any WiFi module at all. I was so frustrated. But I tried to swap the BCM m.2 slot with the front m.2 SSD slot, wifi started working well (but no BT yet). Then, I swap them back just like the first install (front for SSD, back for BCM ), it worked well now (still no BT). How weird it is!
I am wondering BT had no function was caused from the USB mapping. Because the BT module on the adapter need to link to the USB 9-pin socket (two wires for Dx+ and Dx-). Since I don't follow your USB mapping, the macOS can't recognize the BT module.
So, please help me to understand the step 7 USB mapping. Maybe the BT will hopefully work well.
Hello, I'm glad you have a construction similar to mine, I recently got a BCM943602CS card that I bought by aliexpress, I could not try it in my hack, because I've been very busy recently, so I used it in another Hackintosh that I was putting together with a motherboard asrock z370, and it worked OOB, incredible everything worked, the wifi and airdrop worked great. I made a video of how to install the wifi module, I upload it to youtube in a few days.
In my hack I was thinking that it would not work for other publications that I read that they tried but it did not work, I will order another module to try with more time in my Hack.
The adapter you used is not like others recommend for it to work, with the USB mapping of my construction it should work since the HS14 bluetooth port I have removed it so it is not necessary to remove the original module. I'm thinking that bluetooth does not work for you because of the adapter you have.
What you could try is: do not use my mapping, that way HS14 is enabled, remove the original WIFI card, and if it does not work there maybe it is due to some missing driver or is the adapter.
The mapping, It is very easy to do, just follow the steps
here, and enable only 15 ports, the USB 2.0 port where you connected the bluetooth I had it for the microbus of the H100i v2, but then I realized that it is not necessary since I do not use the application of corsair, so remove it and leave it empty.
You inform me of any news, I am interested in solving everything that is necessary to activate bluetooh, I also thought of buying a dongle
A few days ago I was thinking that I could use something similar to this:
B Key M.2 NGFF SSD to 2.5" SATA Converter Adapter Card
This would be because I have the two Nvme M2 ports occupied with the Evo 970 and the WD 1Tb.
But I do not know if it worked, I just saw it and I would like to try it.
