I have the same card as you and with GE=Yes it was showing as 1024 MB. If you check my build out in my sig you can see my DSDT which has the correct edits for the GTX 550 Ti and it's properly recognised

Hm interesting. The thing is you don't use a DSDT for this build and it's recommended not to. I'll have to check out and see if GE+Yes will fix the card. Will update, thanks.

I have the same wireless card D-Link DWA-556. However, mine only shows up in system info after a reboot ... meaning if I do a cold boot, it isn't recognized by the system. I'd have to reboot the OS before it shows up in Network Preferences. What could be the problem? TIA.

My general guess would be something to do with power management. What Motherboard do you have? The only time mine had an issue (said no wifi card) was when I pumped up the BCLCK. Are you running optimized defaults?

My motherboard is GA-EX58-UD5. Where is BCLCK defined? I have no idea if my system is running optimized defaults.

MSRDumper.kext won't trash anything, yet don't do anything you're not comfortable with...

There should be an options for it. Gigabyte boards has the F7 command to run it.

Thanks. Is there a way to find out the default BCLCK value? I played around with mine a long time ago and really don't want to have to reset everything just to troubleshoot.

default BCLCK value = 100

On auto 100mhz it runs slightly below at 99.79 - WiFi works, card shows x8 1.5gb.

At manual 100mhz it runs at 99.79 as well - It was also not allowing my system to get to chameleon. After another restart the system loaded normally. WiFi card is there this time, but still showing x8 1.5gb 550ti.

Sorry scratch that! I meant GE=Yes was showing as 1536MB. It wasn't until DSDT edits was it properly recognised.

Yea I've got someone who is looking over the dsdt right now. With ivy, z77, 10.7.4, 550ti there seems to be a conflict that hasn't been easily resolved without edits. And nothing is working as a general rule. Each system is having to be edited on a case by case basis. Not good so far since the 550Ti is listed as a working OOB card. Just not with z77 and ive :problem:
