My MTU count is set to "Automatic (1500)".

The Hackintosh is connected to the NAS (DS414 by Synology) via a Tough Switch by Ubiquiti. Blaming my net is a good guess, but I tested the same motherboard, net cable, switch and NAS with Windows 7 and everything works great. It seems even faster.

I also built a FreeNas to test the system, and the Hackintosh freezed as well.

Do you suggest to change the MTU count?

Again, thank you for your help :)

P.S.: checking again I noticed it wasn't set to "automatic", but "manually". It was 1500 anyway.

Do you suggest to work on that part too? Less MTU count can improve my situation?

P.S.(2): there are other options as well, maybe I have to work on that too. I searched for the MTU question and I found this article. The result, for me, is 1500. According to the article, this test is useful to test the ISP capacity for the packets received from the internet. Is it important for my internal network as well?
