UPDATE: See my Guide here - viewtopic.php?f=79&t=19743

I have not seen anyone really report on a build with this board yet and after doing a ton of research the last two weeks, decided to take the plunge. I have been gathering lots of info on ASUS SB boards and I believe I can make this work very well with the work that has already been done on the ATX and mATX boards of this variant. All the materials should be here by Weds (except the wifi card).

Goal: Everyday Hackintosh that will sit on desktop (an iMac replacement) but no gaming. Needs to be fast and as silent as possible

Here is what I am going with for now and will report back once i begin the build. After I get everything working, I intend to put in a more silent cooler if necessary as well as an SSD and quieter HD.

NOTE: I will try and rebrand the existing wi-fi card but I assume it wont work and therefore ordered the Broadcom since people have had good success and the existing card will not do 300 only 150.

Re: [WIP] Mini-ITX SandyBridge Build: Asus P8H67-I DELUXE

I am doing a mini-ITX build myself and have many of the same parts (or simmilar ones) that you do, most importantly the gigabyte bord i used has the same chipset yours does. I got my build working last night.

As for wifi i went with a usb dongle this time (no PCI slots on my itx board) but on my first hackintosh build i used a d link PCI-experss x1 card with an atheros chipset. The computer recgonises it fully as a legit airport experss card. no kexts or addons required.

Re: [WIP] Mini-ITX SandyBridge Build: Asus P8H67-I DELUXE

Thanks. Glad to know it works. Based on other users experience with the ASUS boards i want to see if i can get it as vanilla as everyone else. I already know i will have to use nullcpu as the power management features on the ASUS boards are a WIP. But besides that i plan to not use a dsdt or easybeast so we will see.

This board as a mini pci express card built in so we will see what happens with that.
