[Success] Mini-ITX build GIGABYTE Z390 I AORUS PRO WiFi + i9 9900K

Maybe this : BCM94360CS2 Card To NGFF(M.2) Key A/E Adapter will works well ?

I use this on Gigabyte Z370N ITX motherboard - wifi/BT works native.

Hello, I do not think it works, because in the z390-I incorporates the technology CNVi, there is a clarification of these modules in the post of @jaymonkey, but can be adjusted with an adapter in M2 Sata as did @KevinAgnes and it worked in a Z370N ITX

Are you sure it works? (The Z370n Mother Card also has CNVi) I am about to finish building a construction like this mini-ITX in a few days I get the z390-I of gigabyte, so I have been investigating to Bluetooth me work natively.

Best regards
Mark

@markoskz, @bombardier10

Yes its impossible to use included motherboard CNVi on MacOS, remove the CNVi card and use M.2 adapter in an unused M.2 NVMe slot with your choice of M.2 WiFi/Bluetooth combo card. If no spare M.2 NVMe slot then only other option is to use PCIe based solution.

Ensure that the M.2 slot you use is PCIe based and supports NVMe and not a dedicated SATA M.2 as it will not work.

Yes 100% - Gigabyte Z370N WiFi has Intel® Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac no CNVi so
BCM94360CS2 and adapter works OOB.
Gigabyte H370N WiFi is newer chipset - WiFi CNVi is on the board...

Ok but user @Blank write that Broadcom BCM94352Z works (with something trouble), but
Broadcom BCM94352Z is no mac os native...So there are some chances that native WiFi
will work correctly.

BCM94352Z can be very problematic, especially on Laptops ... also can cause BSOD in Windows, it caused me a load of issues on my HP laptop so i got rid of it.

I now use DW1830 (BCM43602/BCM20450) in laptops and PCIe BCM943602CS in desktops which work much better than BCM94352Z and support BT4.1 LE which the BCM94352Z does not, results in much better MacOS continuity and handoff compatibility.

Cheers

I am confused...

I have the GA Z390 Aorus I Pro Wifi and tried to replace the Intel CNVI Card with BCM94352Z, card is not even detected in Mojave.

Can someone please explain if there is a way to use this slot to make Wifi and BT work?
