Gear I purchased from the Buyers Guided Here on the site ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Operating Systems ML 10.8.3
So lets talk about the the build now...... This is my first Hackintosh but I'm not new to Building PC's or Playing around with MAC OS. I'm a Systems Engineer by Day and I DJ and produce music in my spare time. So I found myself using my MACBOOK PRO for everything and being that the performance is amazing I felt it was time to replace my current Studio Rig which is about 5 years OLD. So I had a pretty decent Thermaltake Case that decided to re-use so it turned out to be a pretty good investment......... it lacks a few features but cooling and solid construction are not on that list. The Dissemble was fun, 5 years of dust!!! I tossed everything except for the fans and few SATA cables. I had to modified the Case a bit to fit the Corsair H60 water cooler, drill a few holes, and Dremel the swing out Fan holder no big deal. Its up and running time for OSX installation. I followed the ML 10.8 install guide to a Tee, so in saying that I would like to thank Tonymacx86.com for having such a detailed site and the user community who continue to support the cause!

Trial and Error
The first time I installed the OS everything went well until I loaded the Bootloader on the system and the Spinning wheel started. To be honest I didn't do much reading and research thinking I could tweek on the fly....... 3 days later I reloaded the OS several times trying to install everything and use the on board intel Graphicx first, which actually worked well untill i installed the GT 640 and I never could get it to work right other than in Safe mode. and 24 hours of taking the GPU in and out of the machine to see what works and what does not. So MultiBeast 5.3 came out yesterday...... I decided to start from scratch. install with the card in since the OS recognized that the card I just could not figure how to get a clean boot with the card in after the install. I followed these builds and guides
Stork's build
Zeyad's build
BoomR's Build
and a host of others which I will Post once I recover from running around the house like a mad man once she booted clean and fast.
Because I read in a few threads that this board and the GPU worked out of the box, I picked the minimal settings in Mulitbeast GraphicsEnabler=No is the main one and I used IMAC as my System definition. along with the Normal stuff supported by the MotherBoard. I went through checked a few BIOS settings and SAVED the Profile in the BIOS. Waalaa "MAGIC" it booted clean no safeboot. ......... went into time capsule and transfered my apps and user account from the Mac Book Pro.
I have some more to update and Post about the Windows 8 install but I don't see that being an issue.

To be continued........
MultiBeast v5.3 Fresh Install Configuration for Mountain Lion for HD4000
MultiBeast v5.3 Fresh Install Configuration for Mountain Lion for the GT 640
(Only difference is the selection of GraphicsEnabler=No in Customization > Boot Options)
Note this boots extremely fast!! just double check the Bios Settings when I Installed the GPU I completely disabled the internal Graphics and set to BOOT PEG first
MultiBeast v5.3 Fresh Install Configuration for Mountain Lion for the GT 640
(Only difference is the selection of GraphicsEnabler=No in Customization > Boot Options)

TrackPad and Keyboard work Flawless..... just had to unpair the wireless keyboard from the Apple TV .... having both paired to the same keyboard was cause an issue some of the time. So I rogered up and got a new Keyboard just for the apple tv......that remote it comes with sucks beyond its un-usefullness lol
The Windows 8 Boot ..... I decided I don't need that and is kinda worthless without touch screen functionality so other than tweeks its a wrap
ISSUES:
I get some weird power cycles when i try to power off sometimes. nothing major just requires to hold the button down after the power goes down and attempts to reboot.
MUSIC PRODUCTION:So I'm running Studio One by Presonus and it is working flawless........... Still organizing my files on the harddrives but I'm having great success with what I'm running up to this point.
