Yes, it works at full speed. I will update the post later.

1. Open Clover Configurator (Mount EFI and open your config.plist)
2. Go to Kernel and Kext Patches
3. Add patch:

Name: AppleUSBXHCIPCI
Find: 83BD8CFEFFFF10
Replace: 83BD8CFEFFFF16

4. Install 2 attached kexts
5. Enjoy fully working USB ports :)

Is this supposed to be entered as a kext or a kernel patch? Or does this not matter?

I'm really sad now guys… Can't get USB 3.0 to work.
I even bought GA-Z97X-UD3H because I couldn't get my previous GA-Z87X-UD3H to do USB 3.0.

I followed the tutorial exactly as explained, step by step. Apart from this tutorial I tried so many different methods, no luck.

Any suggestions?
:(

FYI
Fresh install, 10.12 Sierra
GA-Z97X-UD3H rev 1.0 F7 BIOS

Hi Lewys,

Installed the kexts and added the patch - everything now shows as USB 2.0. what do I need to do to get USB 3.0 speeds?

I'm on Sierra with Z97X-UD3H BK

Many thanks

Audio works for me using the ALC 1150 setting in Multibeast 9.01.
USB 3.0 is not working for me either.

For USB 3, did you use the MultiBeast configuration the following USB options?
USB > 7/8/9 Series USB Support
USB > Increase Max Port Limit

Reference:
CustoMac Desktop USB Fixes - OS X 10.11 El Capitan - Reference

I did but it seems that the old customizations from my initial El Capitan installation caused the issues.
There I applied the kext's mentioned in this thread.

After removing the respective kext's using e.g. Clover configurator and re-running Multibeast with the 2 options above it is working.

Thanks a lot !

lewys or anybody else that can help me answer this question. I have the same exact motherboard the GA-Z97X-UD3H bios version F9. I've read many post to disable VT-d but its nowhere in my bios. Is this because the bios is F9, more updated or what? Kinda lost with this only issue...

Nevermind, I realized VT-d is for the CPU and the CPU has to have this ability, DUH...BTW I installed Sierra on this motherboard and well there is just too much patching that has to be done. Don't get me wrong I can patch and know a lot but whenever you do a lot of patching its not too good to do that. Sierra is a whole different ball game because a lot of stuff has been rewritten by Apple such as the USB stuff. Also I have a lot of DAW applications and plugins that won't even work on Sierra and me spending thousands of dollars and not being able to use them is a no go for me. I just reinstalled Yosemite on this motherboard and have had to patch anything as of yet. So be warned about Sierra and this motherboard and with a lot of applications.
