[Success] i9 7920X, ASUS PRIME X299-A, GTX1080Ti, ASUS Thunderbolt 3 (Lazy Guide)

Hi, I'm new to hackintosh, and was trying to install on my rig with no luck, because my CPU was 7740X, and none of your CPU Kexts matched .
As I follow your guide, with reconfigured TSCAdjustReset to match my CPU's thread count and config.plist from the 8-core folder. But I'm getting this very very soon error. And got zero progress for a while.

I've read through @kgp guide a little bit, and tried to use his respective EFI folder

This time, it was getting though the ACPI stuff. But still I wasn't able to boot into the installer. It got freeze at this screen:

After a while, it's being crash with the prohibited icon:

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for the guide anyway

My hardware configuration:
CPU: i7 7740X (4C8T)
Mobo: Asus Prime X299-A
SSD: NVMe 970 Evo Plus latest firmware with GPT/ HFS+ formatted by Gparted
GPU: GTX 1050 Ti.

Can you do HEVC encode by the GTX 1080?

Since your cpu not included the intel GPU. I doubt you can't do HEVC output from Final Cut Pro X.

Hey, the last time ('ages' ago) I was checking it, it worked w/o a USB cable connected to the motherboard.
For now, I don't need it since only one Thunderbolt device is always connected to my hack.

Since your cpu not included the intel GPU. I doubt you can't do HEVC output from Final Cut Pro X.

We don't use FCPX, so I can't say anything about it.

Hey @RicWas, thanks so much for this guide and especially the EFI. I had been having issues with USB port mapping and random full system hangs (I suspect some sort of power management issue with the 1080TI). We have pretty much the exact build and this was a lifesaver. Seems to have fixed all my issues! Thanks again for putting it out there!

Hacks with TB are used as music production machines, so UAD Thunderbolt cards are always connected.

Set CPU type to 0x0F01 in config.plist via Clover Configurator (as already implemented in my files).

If it's not working for you for some reason, use @kgp's method (section E.10) System Overview CPU Cosmetics in his guide, the link is in the 1st post).
