Nice build, I'm considering many of the same parts. Have you tested bluetooth since you got it, can you confirm if Apple's "Hand-Off" feature works?

Bluetooth isn't working. I think you need to change a chip on the motherboard if you want it enabled, but that may have changed.

Why does it look like my RAM from the link will not fit on the motherboard? I have not built my own computer before so I may be missing something, but all the research I have done so far is leading me to think the link may be wrong? Any ideas?

That's memory for laptops (260-pin). For the Z370N WiFi motherboard discussed on this threat, although it's a small format motherboard, you'll need a full 288-pin RAM, like this one I bought for myself https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0134EW44S/?tag=tonymacx86com-20.

Thank you! It is a really n00b move to get this wrong, but there is no pin count that I could find even in the motherboard manual, so without the tribal knowledge of RAM size I was on the path to getting it wrong. Funny how something that is literally plug and play does not have this spelled out more explicitly for first timers. I build robots daily, so I expect more ambiguity there, but this RAM issue caught me off guard.

@inarush I see that you use the RX580 GPU. Would you recommend that over the nvidia GTX 1060 speced in this build? I see that they have still not released the Mojave drivers and thought I should not support that kind of behavior and avoid the hassle. My card is still in the shrink wrap so I still have time to save myself some trouble for this build for a graphics designer (my wife).
Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

No worries, RAM compatibility was tricky for me too because there are just so many sizes and speeds available... I ended up checking up some threads here to find out the right size and the most recommended RAM speeds for my processor.

In the Windows world I would advise you to go with the GTX 1060 - virtually the same performance as the RX 580 but much more power-efficient, which means lower power consumption per FPS and lower heat generation as well.

However, in the macOS world I wouldn't even consider it. As you mentioned, there are no Mojave-compatible drivers and worse than that - I don't think there are any planned dates to release them.

I actually started my current Hackintosh with a GT 1030. But the lack of perspective to have compatible drivers in the shorter term made me steer away from nVidia cards at the moment so I returned it. It looks like the newer Metal implementation that was introduced in Mojave is giving some extra work to nVidia and Apple. Here are some discussions that you might or might not be interested in: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ards-its-up-to-apple-to-approve-them.2151615/ and https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/...drivers-be-released-for-macos-mojave-10-14-/1 .

Go with AMD cards for your wife's computer - it's more future-proof and the graphics performance is actually much better. Just be sure to check the power requirements of the new card against your power supply's capabilities.

Good to see a fellow videomaker around here! And with a similar built I'm planning on.
I wanted to see if anyone tried this built on a Z390M and with an AMD RX (560 or 580) GPU.
I'm in a really tight budget so I want something I can work on DaVinci and After Effects without any hassle. (I don't do 4k or 3d animation.)

I am using an old AMD Radeon HD 7xxx 3 GB without any issues using FCPX

Pretty straightforward guide. Admired your build so I recently created a successful build similar to yours except for the cooling. I go with H60 just for the look and still on the saving for a graphic card. Managed to upgrade to 10.14.5. Work flawlessly, no problem so far. Thank you for sharing.
