I wanted a desktop powered mini hackintosh, so I built this system using the latest z77 mini-itx board. (If I fail to build a working hackintosh, I wanted to have the motherboard with the latest technology. z77 boards provide displayports and it was very tempting. Mini DP allows high resolutions.) This was my first time building a hackintosh.

When I chose the cpu for the system, I believed that new ivy mac will release soon..so I decided to use the ivy bridge cpu instead of using a stable and compatible sandy bridge cpu for my hackintosh. I believe that the system will get stable when the new ivy mac comes out.

When I choose z77 mini-itx board, there were three choices: Asrock Z77E-ITX, ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe, Zotac Z77-ITX A-E.
Asrock board has Realtek ALC898 audio (which seems to work) and Broadcom BCM57781 Ethernet (which seems to be difficult to build a hackintosh). Therefore, I didn't choose Asrock board.
ASUS board has Realtek ALC898 audio (which seems to work) and Intel 82579V (which seems to work). However, it was out of stock when I bought my components.
Zotac Z77-ITX A-E was available in online store and I thought that this board might work because both ethernet and audio chipset were Realtek.

Zotac Z77-ITX A-E Motherboard Details:
- Sound: Realtek ALC892
- Ethernet: Realtek RTL8111E
- Wireless/Bluetooth Combo Mini PCI-E card: Azurewave AW-NB037H WiFi/Bluetooth COMBO, Model: AR5B195, Chipset: Atheros AR9285 with AR3011

Onboard Sound and Ethernet are Realtek (works w/ Multibeast)
Wireless/Bluetooth Combo Mini PCI-E card is included with the MB. (Wireless works w/ IO80211Family.kext (KextBeast). Though, I didn't try for Bluetooth kext because I use bluetooth USB dongle. Also, when I searched google for the bluetooth kext, users' comments seemed a little bit unstable for now.)

Power Details:
picoPSU-160-XT gets 12V DC input, and its output is 160~200Watt.
At first, I bought 12V/16A 192Watt AC-DC adapter(no heat/no noise). But, Ivy Bridge Processor consumes only 77W and I realized that my system doesn't go over 95w max after assembling my hackintosh and measuring the power consumption. So, I changed my AC-DC power to 12V/8.33A 100W adapter. (stable/a little heat/no noise).

Step 0. AHCI enabled in BIOS
Step 1. Unibeast 1.3.0 with Lion 10.7.4 (UPDATE: UniBeast 1.5.0. for Mountain Lion 10.8.0.)
Step 2. BridgeHelper 5.0.0. (UPDATE: No BridgeHelper Needed)
Step 3. MultiBeast 4.5.2 (UPDATE: MultiBeast 4.6.1. )
Step 4. KextBeast IO80211Family.kext (for Wireless Lan), (UPDATE: Interim Realtek Ivy Bridge Lion AppleHDA for audio)

Afterall, everything works well.. except for the graphic HD4000 & the iCloud (UPDATE!!!: HD4000 & iCloud now works in Mountain Lion!!!!).

Intel graphics HD4000 with full graphic acceleration (QE/CI) works in ML after installing the Chimera 1.11.0 and adding the String 0166000A in the org.chameleon.Boot.plist. at the /Extra folder.

iTunes, Mac App store works fine... but I can't login to iCloud (none of the forum's solution work because my cpu is ivy. Read for this issue: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=58646)

UPDATE: I connected Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 and it works great!! (FaceTime, Skype, PhotoBooth,..)

Everything is working great in Mountain Lion!!!!

I was able to get iCloud (but not FaceTime or Messages for Mac even though they worked when booted externally from my MacBook Air) by installing 10.7.4 to an external SSD using my MBA and an install disk w/ out BridgeHelper. I then logged in ("activated") iCloud, App Store, iTunes, before installing the SSD to my Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H (and i5-3570K). I then ran Bridge Helper against my "Lion" SSD and then continued w/ normal MultiBeast/DSDT tweaks.

I take it you've got it running on easybeast right now? If so, then you can easily pull the DSDT and SSDT from the board with DSDTse - which is very user friendly.

This Zotac Z77-ITX board has 2 ethernet port and 1 mini pci-e card wireless lan.
When I first install lion, network plist automatically recognizes ethernet1 as en0, ethernet2 as en1, wireless lan as en2.

However, it depends on how you boot during the installation. If I disable ethernet2 in BIOS and install lion, it automatically recognize ethernet1 as en0 and wireless at en1. Ethernet2 can be enabled later on and set as en 2. (Another way is to remove all the networks and delete network plist. And either enable or disable your network devices for the order you'd like. Then, reboot.)

In sum, network plist depends on the order you turn on your network devices. My two ethernet port and wireless lan work fine at the same time.

I'll pull the DSDT when the real ivy mac comes out and the ivy and hd4000 are supported. I see no point for DSDT at this moment. Multibeast works fine for now.
