Installation
Native install with guide http://www.tonymacx86.com/374-unibeast-install-os-x-mavericks-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html UniBeast 3.0.1, by default, without any boot flags. :) First time there were problems with the installation, startup and operation of the system because of a broken memory module Corsair 1600MHz 4GB (errors in memtest) - replaced and done. :) And Wi-Fi/Bluetooth miniPCI module removed, because Wi-Fi is not working, and Bluetooth is not fully supported.
If, during the initial setup of Mac OS Ethernet cable is plugged into the right port - available internet connection and login with Apple ID etc.

System is stable, fully worked - sleep, Apple ID, iCloud, iMessage etc. (FaceTime not tested). Power managment is worked, but depending on sysdef. Mac Pro 3,1 - Turbo Boost enabled - CPU 3,6GHz on 100% load. iMac 12.1 - fully worked Turbo Boost - CPU 3.6GHz on 100% load. iMac 13.2 - best support, but Turbo Boost disabled - CPU 3,2GHz.
Best benchmark GPU score with sysdef iMac 12.1:

iMac 12.1
CineBench R15
OpenGL - 62.4
CPU - 501
GeekBench 3 (64 bits)
3110 10277

iMac 13.2
CineBench
OpenGL - 57,4
CPU - 450
GeekBench 3 (64 bits)
3116 10319

MacPro 3.1
CineBench
OpenGL - 59.87
CPU - 503
GeekBench 3 (64 bits)
3351 11216

MacPro 5,1 - not yet tested

The system used for Final Cut Pro X and worked great.
Fan speed control not available (tested FanControl & smcFancontrol) - Noctua NF-B9 PWM (on CPU Cooler Noctua NH_L9i) low speed to 900 rpm, when CPU multiplier x16 (1,6GHz) and temperature 35-36C - it's very very quiet, but i would like to raise its minimum speed to 1200 rpm. He is still quiet, and when using Turbo Boost, CPU heats less.
In full load CPU temp (core) - 60-62C. GTX 650 Ti OC quiet and cold: idle - 24-25C, 100% load >40C.
This build is quieter than my Mac mini mc816 and three times more powerful in FCPX, Lightroom etc
Im planning to replace the Bluetooth 2.0 module supports version 3.0 (4.0)
Excuse for poor English. Russian bears. :)

nice build :)
i order my stuff too :p

hey stork :) tnx for the heads up warning :)
any suggestions for a graphics card with mavericks for my build
its a music production build but i want to dual boot windows 7 for some gaming :)
i dont care for any video/photo editing on "mac side" it will (gpu) be only for games on "windows side"
i care only for power management cuz i read that a lot of guys having problem with that and openCL crashes

ill be waiting for ur response :D i post my build link if u want to reply there or here whatever fits u :D

Hi, VTSIM. Tnx
650 Ti OC - great card for Mav. Better than Radeon HD 5770 Apple OEM. FASTER, quieter, colder and more energy efficient. For gaming its mid level, but good. 2gb version of it makes no reason to buy. Performance of the card in the game is the level settings when consumed less than 1Gb video Ram. Better to look towards the Radeon HD 7850 2Gb.

With my sysdef Mac Pro 3.1 power managment of GPU working good. But sometimes stuck at max frequency after using Handbrake. In OpenCL going smoothly. I do not install drivers Nvidia & CUDA.

Tnx for ur reply :D
i wanna stick with nvidia it seems to be more compatible with hackintosh (as it seems in this forum,im a noob :p )
in my country 2gb on this card is 10 euros more so it will be nice to have 1 more gb for the price :p
but i d like to hear if the hd 7850 workin OOB

handbrake is converting video app right? :)
its ok then im not gonna use any video converter if thats the cae so everything seems ok with the 650 ti
and im on budget right now :p (entry level-mid range GPU) i choose to get a more powerfull cpu cuz its better for music editing and recording

So GTX 650 Ti is a good choice for you.
