Comments:

Price landed at overall 11kSEK which is 1.66k$ however prices are expensive here in Sweden compared to US. I wanted a decent rig to run mac on and also play games. I also use this rig to make music and code apps for Android and iOS. I ended up being able to play Starcraft 2 with ultra settings at ~60fps. If there is one thing I would change it would be my motherboard due to the hassle of getting audio working. In order to get sound working I installed this kext http://www.osx86.net/files/file/902-via-vt2021-voodoohda-2-7-x-2-8-osx-10-7-x-10-8-x/USB 3.0 didn't work outside of the box and I haven't attempted to install it. Otherwise this tutorial was all I needed to use: http://www.tonymacx86.com/61-unibeast-install-os-x-mountain-lion-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html.

The reason I went for the Intel i5 3470 instead of the Intel i5 3570K is because the difference is minimal and I will not overclock.

The mouse and keyboard work well, connected without any problem.

For me the monitor contrast was too low so what I did was I went to System Preferences -> Accessibility -> Display and increased the contrast by 4/5 of a bar.

Very nice build. I'm partial to the Fractal Design Define R4 case. I have the R3 version, and I can't tell if my system is on (it's so quiet). I'm planning to get the Fractal mATX version to replace my Batman system's case in the near future.

I'm also envious of your 660 Ti. I am reading about the excellent results that folks are getting with it in their hackintoshs. Unfortunately, since I don't have any need for the latest higher end graphics card (read: expensive), I'm happy with the excellent performance from HD4000 and my 5770 and 6450/6850 graphics cards.

Happy Hackintoshing! Have Fun!

Hello Syltman,

I noticed that we have a similar build on our hackintoshes. My motherboard is ga-z77 ds3h
my hard drive is Seagate ST1000DM003 1TB
and my processor is Intel Core i5 3470

i a have a big problem and i need your help if you can.

1st of all when i tried to install ML via UniBeast i had a boot problem. Always the screen stopped on Apple logo with the spinning wheel. I found a way to bypass it, and i installed ML in -x mode. Then when i tried to boot from hard drive i got the boot0 error, i found again the way and i fixed it. Then i installed drivers via MultiBeast only the UserDSDT Free Installation, audio drivers and Atheros for network. I don't use any external graphic card. Now i have a big big problem. It boots normal but it sticks on Apple logo, and it allows me only to boot in -x (safe boot). I made a post there (check the link below)

Thank you in advance
