This is my first Hackintosh build and it took me some time to get to the installer.

I followed Stork's guide:

1. The basic setup:

2. For the graphics card:

The parameters get me to the installer:

-v -x maxmem=4096 nv_disable=1

The most important one is

nv_disable=1

. Probably everyone else would know this, but I stuck here for days.

I also had another problem with the hard drive, it's the Advanced Format problem.

There were some reboots, but now it works.

The problem for now is the display, I use display port but only get 4K@30Hz.

Have you had issues with freezing? Mine freezes pretty regularly if I have an externa hard drive plugged in through any of the USB ports. I'm beginning to think it may be a hardware issue. How can I test this out? This is killing me since I plan to do video work and it's pretty much necessary to work off external hard drives. Haven't found much help at all on this matter for a few months now.
