You are simply awesome. I run iMac Pro 1,1 right now, is this compatible with your setup?

Right now i’m running clover 51xx and the latest Catalina, can I just boot your efi from USB and slowly take it from there? (With the added serial numbers etc.). Without full reinstall.
I haven't done the update from Catalina to Big Sur. I have a spare SSD for testing. But I suppose that you can do it as you say. Make a backup first :)

I have almost the same rig. But I use Clover. and I want to migrate to OpenCore.
Can you share your EFI folder?
Thank you
Don't forget to clear caches before you try booing with OC. All the old Clover stuff will still be cached and it will likely not work.

For sure:) Can’t wait until I get home from vacation and make the move to OC. I’ll make a Carbon Copy before the fun stuff begins:thumbup:

Is there and advantage to using OC as opposed to Clover?

I just switched from 3 years using Clover which for the most part worked well. But I wanted to update to 15a BIOS to use Thunderbolt, so OpenCore it is. After a few days, I can say it is cleaner, feels lighter and boots a little faster - sorta like loosing a few pounds. Hoping to get Titan ridge card any day now - another adventure awaits.

Shout out to Svart and Plexi for making it simple. See here if you want to give it a whirl:

Remember to back up your bios should you want to revert to clover, while it can be as simple as renaming EFI-myclover or EFI-myopencore. Your DSDT will differ.

Which is the best way to do that?
Terminal: sudo kextcache -i /

At the OpenCore picker menu, also a good idea to reset NVRAM. In the upper left corner of the boot menu screen you'll see the option.

Hey, glad to help!

Update: It's been over two years of using this machine that I built (and I'm writing on it now) and it's still going strong with no issues whatsoever for me. Then again, I'm still using the latest version of High Sierra (10.13.6) and never found the need to update to Mojave, or later. This machine has been my daily driver since day one, and has been a completely stable "Mac". I never updated the BIOS or went beyond High Sierra (10.13.6) so it's been truly functional without any headaches.

Hope others have had success with this build as well. Cheers all.
I've been running my copy of your build since a couple weeks after you posted. I am still on 10.13.6 as well. Still runs great!
I have some xcode issues building to iOS related to me being on 10.13.6 so I build to iOS off my laptop.

Thanks!
