Hi all,

Following many unsuccessful attempts (see my post https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/always-a-white-screen-ending-installation.281767/) I decided to change the stategy and it works :).

I have Mojave working fine on one SSD and was willing to install Catalina on another SSD
- Format SSD on APFS format.
- Carbon copy Mojave SSD on new SSD
- Update Clover and kext.
- Boot on new SSD under mojave and run Catalina installer. 20 minutes later, after a few reboots, Bingo ;-)

Cheers

hi. I want to try this for my build.
I run 1 SSD with Mojave work OK. I Carbon copy to New SSD and run it.
My question: If i update the new SSD to Catalina and want to log into the old mojave, but the serial key is not the same for my 2 systems? is it possible to update the new ssd and than use old ssd(Mojave) and new ssd (Catalina)? . My Cloud account save every system (build) and get SK, is it can made any conflict issue?
thanks

What are you using to carbon copy?
