Re: SUCCESS: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R (Rev 1.1) Install Guide

Hi, i installed Lion with unibeast+multibeast. After the update to 10.7.2, audio stopped working. The audio icon is in the bar near the clock, but it is grey. I chose 8xx driver from multibeast, is that correct?

Re: SUCCESS: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R (Rev 1.1) Install Guide

That is expected. Re-read what I suggested for the audio fix in the install guide. It is a legacy fix. You need to run the 10.6.2 Audio package after each update.

Good luck!

Hi, I've noticed a strange behaviour or buggy thing with 10.7.3 update... on Ga-EP45-UD3

coreaudiod (system core) in /usr/sbin is running cpu at 130%...

this is happenning only when Audio driver is loaded....

and a lot of sleepimages (swapfiles) are been created under private/var/vm/ : up to there is no more space on Hd ...

then after 15-20 min Hd drive is full... can only reboot

is this a bug with HDA settings ??? I used to make it work quiet with dsdt patch + legacyHda + AppleHDA (version 1.9.9f12) since 10.6.3 up to 10.7.2... without any trouble !!!

but now, nothing to do with this behaviour... had already tried other kexts, patch,...same thing happens !!!

Did someone have the same issue ??? any solution ???

Thanks...

Thank you so much for your detailed guide!!!

And still I am not sure which kexts I should take in generell - When do I need FakeSMC for instance? It says in multi beast description that fakeSMC is "the only absolutely mandatory kext" and why didn´t you install it? How do you find out what kexts you have to use??

Thanks in advance

Dear Inmike09,

I'm writing this for thanks.

I installed 10.7.3 directly from Unibeast drive (USB) with DSDT from the database. At first everything looked fine, then a very unexpected thing started to happen. I has weird problems opening dmg files... checksum errors and so...

I think your point in the disk option in Multibeast solved my problem.

Now my system works well... At least all the expected parts :)

Last word: Thank you.

Sinan
