[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Yes, of Course.
Method DTGP is present in that SSDT, so now let's do this:
  • Post screenshot of OpenCore Configurator --> ACPI
  • Run this command and post bootlog.txt from the Documents folder:
Bash:
log show --last boot | head -1500 > ~/Documents/bootlog.txt

We need to uncheck the last ACPI patch ("_E2C to XE2C") and add this one:
  • Find: 5F 4C 36 46
  • Replace: 58 4C 36 46
  • Comment: Change _L6F to XL6F
Please post a screenshot after making this change, then reboot and see what happens...

I have corrected the rename as per screenshot
Schermata 2022-09-01 alle 20.50.45.png

the TB3 part is loaded from the PC is OFF

the TB3 device does not detect me in the system info

Schermata 2022-09-01 alle 20.53.29.png

From the PCI list, it loads the TB3 components for me, however by unplug / plug, it no longer loads the components.

IOREG attached.

(With another EFI where I use external DTPG, with SSDT Tb3 v1, Hotplug work stable only with the first Rename)

Also the DP / HDMI port via Hub TB3 does not work for me

@pierpaolo2395,

It is not strictly necessary to enable Thunderbolt Bus. If the Thunderbolt devices you have can work without Thunderbolt Bus, then it’s simpler to use the simple Thunderbolt SSDT. Hot plug should work.

Again, the only factor to consider is whether your Thunderbolt devices work as you expect them to. If they do, then we should use the simple SSDT.

I'm having an issue with my Apple BCM4350C2 being nonfunctional since updating to 0.8.3 (originally using HackinDROM) in OS 12.5.1. The hardware is recognized but shows a 'NULL' address.

I'm beginning to suspect a hardware failure, as downgrading to my 0.8.2 backup didn't fix it, and using @CaseySJ's EFI upload from the 0.8.3 mini guide makes no difference. Curiously, WiFi seems to be working fine. (I've ordered an FV-T919, but while I wait for delivery, I figured it couldn't hurt to troubleshoot.)

BlueToolFixup (and the two Brcm kexts) makes no difference (they're on in this screenshot due to troubleshooting).

The machine has been working fine for more than a year. BT isn't critical, but I use Airdrop, Handoff, ApplePay, and Continuity quite often.
  • Z390 Designare (firmware version F8)
  • iMac19,1
  • Sapphire Radeon RX 480 8GB
  • 32GB DDR4 (2 x 16GB)
  • PCIe adapter for BCM4350C2 (vendor ID 0x14e4 for the adapter)
  • Crucial MX500 startup SSD
  • 3x WD Black series SATA HDD
  • 2x Dell U2415 screens with USB 3.0 hubs
Thanks!

ETA: Removing all USB devices makes no difference.

@CaseySJ

Given the TB3 problem solved, how can I fix the iGPU problem?
Even patching the connectors I can't get video via DP / HDMI on TB3
I don't know why I can't even get the integrated HDMI and audio from HDMI / DP to go

@mustang.dvs,

Good write-up of the problem! My first thought is to perform a CMOS Reset as follows:
  • Shutdown the system
  • Flip power switch on PSU to OFF position
  • Use a flathead screwdriver to short the two designated pins on motherboard (refer to manual if needed)
  • Power back up
  • BIOS parameters will have to be re-configured; start with Load Optimized Defaults, then configure the other parameters
  • Boot macOS and check Bluetooth again
