Thank you @ madmax559 for your attention and suggestion.

I just tried with System Product Name iMac19,1 but the error persists the same.

Regarding buying a new ssd, thanks for the tip, I'm already researching prices and availability here in Brazil.

Thanks.
Modify your config.plist and set SecureBootModel to Disabled & try to boot up

Hi @CaseySJ,
First of all, thank you very much for the excellent work you've been doing for the community, it's because of him that I can have a quality hackintosh.

Sorry to bother you, but I need your help.

I have a Gigabyte Designare Z390 + Intel Core i9-9900KS + 64GB + AMD RADEON RX 5700 XT 8GB + SSD 1 TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus, M.2 NVMe + Intel Wifi.

My hackintosh (last version of Ventura) was working perfectly until last Saturday, when it had a problem waking up. So I decided to reinstall Open Core through the HackinDROM app.

Upon restart, the hackintosh no longer came back, showing an error in NVRAM: "OCS: No type match for NVRAM at 5 index, expected type data got dict, context <root>!

So I decided to do a fresh install, creating a new USB installer through the HackinDROM app, using the Ventura image obtained through gibMacOS.

Basically I formatted the USB drive, opened the HackinDROM app, clicked on new installation, filled in the information about my PC and took advantage of the information from the config.plist that was working.

Then I removed the battery from the motherboard to reset the BIOS, then made the recommended settings in the BIOS.

Afterwards, I booted the Ventura installer through the USB drive (I tested it through port 2.0 and 3.0), went to the terminal and ran the command "nvram -c".

So I formatted the SSD with the "All Device" option and started the installation.

However, always after the second reboot, the error appears: "OC: Failed to bootstrap IMG4 NVRAM values - Invalid Parameter Halting on critical error".

I searched on Google and here on the forum, I did not find recent occurrences. Everything I've seen indicates that the open core settings may be invalid and everyone suggests a new creation, but I don't know how to proceed, because I'm using the config.plist created by the HackinDROM app. I tested using the PlatformInfo information from my old config.plist and also using new PlatformInfo information. In both cases, the same problem occurs.

I'm using the recommendations obtained from HackinDROM:
System Product Name: iMacPro1,1
Boot Arguments: keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 agdpmod=pikera alcid=11 shikigva=80 igfxfw=2

Should I upload my config.plist file here?

Thanks again.
(Sorry for the English, I'm using Google Translate)
Hello @kafunga,

Let's try two things:
  1. First, please have a look at this post and download/configure the 0.8.3 OpenCore folder provided there. Then see how far the macOS installer proceeds.
  2. If this fails, then simply remove serial numbers from your existing config.plist and compress/post the entire EFI folder.

I think I may have solved the mystery red rectangle that showed up & I think it may be related to MacVim

Add this to my .vimrc to disable bell & visual
set vb t_vb= " no visual bell & flash

Thanks @CaseySJ for the reply,

I followed the guide given, including the other guide on Bluetooth and Intel WIFI.

I ran the "nvram -c" command again and formatted the SSD again.

Still the same error: "OC: Failed to bootstrap IMG4 NVRAM values - Invalid Parameter Halting on critical error"

Attached is the EFI folder and the NVRAM content after the whole process.

Some suggestions:
  • There's no need to use nvram -c
  • If you are trying to clear or reset NVRAM, just press space bar at the OpenCore boot picker and you'll find an option on the far right called Reset NVRAM
  • Which version of BIOS is installed on your motherboard? We recommend F9g or F9i, both of which are available from the spoiler labeled Quick Reference to Mini-Guides and Micro-Guides located near the top of Post 1
  • Also double-check all BIOS settings from the BIOS settings spoiler in Post 1
  • Also double-check that when you format your NVMe SSD in Disk Utility, the parent name of the disk should be selected (select View --> Show All Devices)
  • Then choose these settings:
    • Name: (any suitable name)
    • Format: APFS
    • Scheme: GUID Partition Map
Feel free to try the attached EFI folder that has been updated to OpenCore 0.8.6. But copy PlatformInfo credentials into config.plist before use.

It worked out! Thank you very much!

I don't know what I should attribute the success to, because I redid all the steps again and used your EFI.

I'm going to recover my Time Machine and make the last settings and come back to tell you the final result.

Thanks again.
