@CaseySJ I did not have SSDT-DTPG.aml in my OC/ACPI folder, but I had tried it previously as I recall.

I used your attached version, rebooted and Big Sur still would not boot.

We got a bit further though - see image.

Ah, your PCI bus base path is PC00 instead of PCI0. Please try the attached modified Thunderbolt SSDT. Ensure that SSDT-DTPG.aml is still enabled.

I've created the Thunderbolt Bus SSDT, but it will not work yet. Please post DSDT.aml as requested above so I can create a required ACPI rename patch.

Ah, your PCI bus base path is PC00 instead of PCI0. Please try the attached modified Thunderbolt SSDT. Ensure that SSDT-DTPG.aml is still enabled.

Also attached is an image of my TB BIOS settings.

Okay please try the following:

• Disable or remove any previous Thunderbolt SSDT.
• Copy the two attached files to the OpenCore OC/ACPI folder and add entries for them in ACPI section of config.plist :
  • SSDT-TbtOnPch-GA-X99-SLI.aml
  • SSDT-DTPG.aml
• Then add the following two ACPI renames in ACPI --> Patch section of OpenCore Configurator:
  • Patch 1:
    • TableSignature: DSDT
    • Find: 42523142 085F4144 520C0100 01005B80 4D43544C 000C8881 00E00A04 5B81134D 43544C01 00034847 50450100 07000800 08140D5F 494E49
    • Replace: 42523142 085F4144 520C0100 01005B80 4D43544C 000C8881 00E00A04 5B81134D 43544C01 00034847 50450100 07000800 08140D58 494E49
    • Comment: BR1B._INI --> BR1B.XINI
    • Count: 1
    • Enabled: Check on
  • Patch 2:
    • TableSignature: DSDT
    • Find: 5F 45 31 36
    • Replace: 58 45 31 36
    • Comment: _E16 --> XE16
    • Count: 1
    • Enabled: Check on

Hi @CaseySJ. Happy New Year. I've been following your guides on how to enable TB3 Hotplug / full functionality because I found when I updated to Big Sur, only one of my 2 eGPUs was working. In Catalina, both worked great - from cold boot, but that's all I needed, really. Hello @imcalledandy...

Something may be wrong in your OpenCore configuration. Please make a copy of your EFI folder, then compress and post that folder. You may remove Product Serial Number from PlatformInfo section of config.plist prior to compressing and posting.

The EFI configuration looks fine. Does Big Sur boot if you disable the Thunderbolt SSDT in config.plist?

Right now my suspicion is that you may be missing a SSDT that is necessary for Big Sur, but is unrelated to Thunderbolt.
