Ok i put the NVMEs back to original spots, took the two DIMMS as recommended, restarted and no wifi. I checked those reports and still the same...

Here's my IOregistry file
We're quickly reaching the end of Process of Elimination -- not much more to eliminate. Have you examined the Fenvi card physically for these factors:
  • Modem itself (the small Broadcom module) is properly inserted into the mini-PCI socket on the card?
  • Are you able to gently wiggle the Broadcom module into place?
  • You might find two small wires connecting the Broadcom module to tiny nubs on the main PCIe card. Are these antenna wires properly connected? You may need a magnifying glass.

Success, kind of.... I was able to flash the ROM, it verified, and now I see the Thunderbolt Display recognized on the bus. I have the titan ridge AIC with the Z390M motherboard.

Bad news is the display does not turn on, at least yet. I did plug a USB device into the Thunderbolt Display and I was able to use it, so things are kind of functional.

I was going to try the step about creating the DROM, but I am running into problems getting Maciasl to work for me.

When I first open it, I get some decompilation errors. From what I found by hunting around, I probably have an old version since my ACPI specs only go up to 5.1. It also throws some decompilation errors when I first load the program. How do I get the right version and should I set the ACPI spec to 6.1?

Acidanthera to the rescue...

Thunderbolt monitors exhibit all sorts of mischievous behavior as has been discussed many times in this thread. We just have to play with various settings until something acceptable emerges (it won't be perfect, but it may be acceptable):
  • Thunderbolt Boot Support --> Boot Once or Boot ACL
  • CSM Support --> Enabled or Disabled

Thanks, just found the right version of MaciASL. I just saved the file. Will drop it in ASAP.

I'll try your other suggestions regarding BIOS settings! Thank you. I feel like I am so close.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say maybe it’s a bad card and I’ll just send it back for a replacement. The replacement will be here on Tuesday. It’s strange because I think it worked the very first time I installed it a few weeks back. But somewhere along the way it just stopped working.
I wonder if I need to reinstall my OS again.

It works! For some reason the Display port #1 input is the bottom input on the TR card, not the higher of the two inputs, but the thunderbolt output #1 is the higher of the two thunderbolt outputs, if that makes sense. Anyway. I had my display port from my graphics card plugged into the titan ridge #2 display port input. Doh... As soon as I switched the connection the display turned on.

Ok, it seems that it takes a warm boot after the initial startup to get the sound, camera and USB ports on the TB display to work. Still playing around with some of the bios settings to see if that matters.

To continue the Process of Elimination, please try removing the Fenvi WiFi/BT card (but do not connect Corsair H115i). Before removing the Fenvi (or any other device on motherboard) we must shutdown the system and flip power switch on PSU to OFF.

Dear @CaseySJ, you are OK.
I removed the MQUPIN Fenvi T919 usb connection to the MB, and now the computer goes to sleep without any issue!!
So, the offensive USB is the Bluetooth connection!

Is there any solution?

I read that the MQUPIN version of Fenvi gives sometimes problems....

Thx

If you are using Clover, uncheck the « Fix Shutdown » patch in ACPI section. On mine, the LEDS were on at shutdown. No problems with sleep however...

I tried with success!.
Same behaviour with mine. But still problems with sleep. It seems it's a Bluetooth usb connection issue, as stated in my previous post.
Thx

Hello,

I've been happily running this build since 2018. I'd like to update it with all the latest improvements discovered along the way, and also move from Clover to OpenCore. I've found the OpenCore Mini Guide, but wanted to know if it's worth the work now, or better to wait until the process is more stable?.

How has been the process and results for those that did the switch?
