Did you check the if you have something installed at /Users/~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components? Some plugins get installed there sometimes

Try a cold start:
  • Power down and flip power switch on PSU to OFF for 10 seconds.
  • Restart.
Are you unable to connect to any Bluetooth device, or just unable to connect to Magic Mouse?
 
Same thing after following your directions.
I deleted the mouse, tried to repair, no mouse seen.
I shut Bluetooth off and back on, no mouse seen.
I shut Mouse off and back on, no mouse seen.
I shut Bluetooth and Mouse off as a last shot, Mouse seen and was able to connect.

I have tested it on my Asus Zenbook, found same result and is OK when I delete theses lines.
For the Maximus Z270, there is no problem because partial device (XHC2) is always ON (confirmed on Windows10).

For the differences between all 3 last draft, you can see but I don't think is about last modifications.

I think that all tests without GPIO3 Force Power OFF is required because my Zenbook laptop and Maximus Z270 (last BIOS) haven't this feature on BIOS... and work WITH all Thunderbolt tree and WITHOUT any Thunderbolt firmware modification. Even with the simplified version which include only full method MMBA to WTDL (no PS3, no PS0, no PCED...).

Just received the new SPI chip reader/programmer. Unfortunately it's unable to read any SPI flash chip on the Designare motherboard. This might be due to the SOIC8 clip I'm using, so I've ordered a Pomona 5250 that should arrive next Tuesday. This is a bit disappointing.

If anyone has used a CH341A chip reader/programmer successfully on a Winbond W25Q80DVS please let me know.

Possibly the clip isn't attached correctly... Just try it again, sometimes it can be a little bit tricky.
Make also sure that Pin 1 is correctly attached.
Pin1 is the pin which has a dot on the chip and there you should have the red cable from the usb programmer.

just started going through your guide (which is great by the way) But i keep getting stuck in Phase 2... it continues to restart and won't let me "boot from Mojave"
Phase 1 would always restart with 2 minutes left.
And once clover came up i was able to see the Boot with install Mojave, but usually it only gets a few minutes in and restarts the computer. I've tried it over and over again.
Any ideas? Thanks!

The 2018 Mac mini has four Thunderbolt 3 ports and two Thunderbolt controllers.
  • Controller 1 controls either the left two or the right two ports.
  • Controller 2 controls the other two ports.
It's possible that devices connected to Controller 1 are on Thunderbolt Bus 0, and those connected to Controller 2 are on Thunderbolt Bus 1.

Even though Apple uses both Titan Ridge and Alpine Ridge controllers that are somehow multiplexed together, I think that Thunderbolt Bus numbers might correspond to Controllers 1 and 2 rather than to Titan Ridge or Alpine Ridge.

To check this theory:
  • Let's label the four TB3 ports as: 1, 2, 3, 4 (it does not matter whether port 1 is on left or right side).
  • Which port is your UAD Apollo connected to?
  • Which port is the BMD MultiDock II connected to?
If you connect these devices to ports 1 and 2 (or ports 3 and 4) do they appear on the same Thunderbolt Bus?

It seems to me that Thunderbolt ports are different ( 1 to 4) and ROUTE STRING for each Thunderbolt controller (Bus 0 and Bus 1) that make different Thunderbolt firmware :
After extracting macOS install, we can find on ../USBCUpdater/Mac-7BA5B2D9E42DDD94 the following files :
Mac-7BA5B2D9E42DDD94-C0_6.52.0-C0_37.2-R0.bin and Mac-7BA5B2D9E42DDD94-C0_6.52.0-C0_37.2-R1.bin (in case of Mojave) for each ROUTE STRING (thunderbolt bus).

Thanks Mobi, yes I did but nothing to be found there. I will try a fresh OS install on an external SSD with nothing but Logic to see if I can discover what the issue may be.
