I think our Sapphire GPUs could cause the freeze/reboot just because I had the same issue this summer. Replacing the Sapphire with an old Asus GTX770 solved everything. So yes, it could be our GPU or at least something with drivers.

I will say, when I had the Gigabyte Reference GPU, I used all the same files and had no issues with reboots. So maybe it could be the Sapphire GPU.

Agreed. The Sapphire Pulse should be more compatible than the Nitro+.

You may also try using the iGPU. This means:

• No need to visit Best Buy!
• Removing RX 5700 XT from the system.
• Setting Platform ID to 0x3E9B0007.
• If you have a USB-C to DisplayPort cable, you may plug that into either of the two Thunderbolt/USB-C ports on the rear IO panel.

I'd like not to return my Sapphire Nitro+ as it looks amazing but since my primary use of this machine is macOS, probably I'll be forced to.

Hopefully we can find a fix or figure out if its something working with the GPU thats causing it that can be fixed so you wont have to. Just strange its happening with a reference card as well as the Nitro+ Sapphire. But didn’t happen after I put the proper DSDT files in patch with my Gigabyte 5700XT Reference card.

Thank you very much everyone for the research to get the RAM up to 128 Gb.
I have managed to install two 32GB memories, and it works correctly.
I have tried to install two 32GB and two 16GB and they work but I have lost the hardware acceleration of HEVC.
Do you have any suggestions.
I also don't get the memory section about this mac.
And the performance declined.

This message is for @samtimbaud: I think you need to update your BIOS to F8! Can you boot into Windows? Or use another computer to download the bios update and load in onto your system?
