hello to everybody .... my z390 designare hackintosh is full working now ... it is a bit loud and fans are always on and temperature is always at 30 celsius ... i have too much fans on my build ...how can i make this machine less loud in your opinion ? thanks
I am using a Raijintek Orcus 280mm all-in-one liquid cooler with fantastic results. Idle temps are barely over 22-26 C, and under load they rarely go beyond 40-45 C. I used Arctic MX-4 thermal paste, placing one large drop about the size of a green pea in the middle of the CPU and attaching the Raijintek thermal block immediately on top without spreading the paste. In BIOS I am using the default fan curve.

Temperatures are so well regulated that the spinning RGB thingy inside the Raijintek thermal block often stops spinning, which means the pump slows down or even stops from time to time.

Yep ! And my error was this one.
Did Change SAT0 to SATA fix the problem?

If so, this is stated in the build guide and included in the config.plist (in EFI.zip).

Nope, it was already set when I first tried it.

Oh boy this little i9 9900k is impressive. An MP4 encoding is more than twice as fast as my i7 8700K oO !

Do you think the drops in the Power and Frequency are normal (check the screenshot) ? I can feel that sometimes the machine is kind of stuttering while under stress… My RAM is set to 3200, maybe it's not right ?

edit : Ok OsxAptioFixDrv-64 was still there, for a reason or another… Now there's no drops.

Hi,
I have a question.
Is Gigabyte Designare Z390 Native NVRAM without EmuVariableUefi-64.efi?

Yes, native. EmuVariable is not needed.

What specific change was needed? Was it OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000?

That looks fairly typical. As long as the dips are few and far between, you’re getting good performance. You might want to check out some GamersNexus videos on YouTube.

Thank you.
Does OsxAptioFix 2 Drv - free 2000 support Native Nvram? I thought I would use it with EmuVariableUefi-64.efi. Z390 AORUS Master can not use Native Nvram with only OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.

On the Designare we have to use OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000 in combination with slide=0. Maybe the same is true for the AORUS Master.

Have you fixed this? I have the same situation albeit on a different main board.

I read somewhere that darkwake=0 might fix this. Unfortunately cannot remember where.

I post my bios smart fan 5

Try setting Fan Control Mode to PWM for all fans with speed control via PWM signal (4 pin).
