My fails and tips

  • Generate CPU States option in Multibeast generated memory error leading to complete reinstall, don't use!
  • Overclocking made the OS freeze without C-states disabled. A randomly freezing os? Check OC settings.

Update - 2013-11-05
My customac is as stable as my macbook pro, it just goes and goes.
I use this computer for production and casual gaming and could't be more pleased. Watercooling is so much fun! Just need more stuff to cool so why not add the hottest card around - 290x :)
It should arrive November 8th.

Do you mind posting a screen shot of your overclock settings? I am having an issue trying to find them. Thanks!

Hey man!
I really really like your configuration. Would you mind posting what brand and model of RAM, SSD and watercooler you used?
Also, was the installation any complicated at all?
If all goes well, I will be having same mac as you by next month. Thanx for the inspiration!

Installing the watercooler isn't all that tricky depending of your DIY skills in general.
When installing it in a "small" case like mine it will lead to some modifications that are not "bolt on" solutions.
I used the Ek kit: http://www.ekwb.com/shop/kits-cases/kits/ek-kit-h3o-240-hfx.html
Everything in that kit is bigger then you might think :)
Water + delecate electronics is bad so be sure to do a 24 hour leak test with only the pump running.

Ram: corsair vengeance 1600mhz
SSD: Intel 330 if i remember correctly

Hey man im doing a really similar build, i know you attached your multibeast settings but its not a very high res. I was also wondering what commands you used to make the computer boot into the os as in -x or anything like that, im really happy u did it cause it gives me more trust as to what im doing when i do do it.

Hello
I am attempting to get a very similar system setup. I have the i7-4770 instead of the i7-4770k and a GTX 650 Ti Boost. Mine seems to work perfectly with what you have in this post except it will not wake up from sleep. It goes to sleep, seems like everything is starting back up after clicking, but nothing ever shows on the screen.

I think the only difference between what I have been doing and your setup is disabling vt-d.

Did you experience anything like this with your setup?

What's the configuration to give to multibeast after installation?
What are drivers to load for GTX 760?
