USB 3.0 Stick 16G x 1

p.s. U should prepare one more usb stick , in case u dont have internet connection

This article will show the settings I used , but not every steps.

I am not good at English , so . . . I will do my best as I can . . .

Step 00 : Bios Setting

Use Bios Default Setting First , then change some parameter

vT-d off
WOL off

so you and I will have the same BIOS setting.

Step 01 : Download OSX Yosemite 10.10.4

Step 02 : Prepare USB Stick

Note : At Step 2 point 17 in the guide above , use 「UEFI boot mode」

20. Navigate to /EFI/CLOVER/ and replace default config.plist with attached config.plist ( Standard )
22. Navigate to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10/ and add FakeSMC.kext


23. Navigate to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10/ and add your ethernet kext
( In this step , I added Follow three kext )AppleIntelE1000 ( This kext seems like not ethernet kext , but . . . I have still used it . . . )
AtherosE2200Ethernet
ALXEthernet

24. Navigate to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10/ and add NullCPUPowerManagement.kext
25. Navigate to /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/ remove VBoxHfs-64.efi and add HFSPlus.efi


26. (Optional) Navigate to /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/ and add DSDT.aml and SSDT.aml
( I didnt add any DSDT.aml or SSDT.aml , dont need it )


Step 03 : Installation

I plug the usb stick in USB 2.0 slot ( not usb 3.0 )

Boot device setting in Bios setting , must use 「UEFI + xxxxx ( your usb device name ) 」this option。

Installation must be two parts. After 1st part complete , it will restart , then start 2nd part installation.


Step 04 : Post Installation

5. Install Clover to Yosemite with the following Custom settings:
Use setting「(Custom Install: UEFI-Capable Systems)」

6. Navigate to /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/ and edit config.plist ( Standard )
7. Navigate to /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/ and create a folder called 10.10
7. Navigate to /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10/ and add FakeSMC.kext
8. Navigate to /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10/ and add your ethernet kext ( The same )

9. (Optional) Navigate to /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/ and add DSDT.aml and SSDT.aml
( Dont add any DSDT.aml or SSDT.aml )



STEP 05 : Clover Configulation

01. Open Clover Configulator
02. Mount EFI Patition ( in the disk where OSX be installed )
03. Open and edit Config.plist



04. In Boot Section

check nvda_drv=1
uncheck nv_disable=1
uncheck kext-dev-mode=1
Set XMPDetection=「NO」

05. In Graphics Section

check Inject Intel ( because I use on board GPU , Intel HD 4600 )

06. In SMBIOS Section

Use this tool , and choose「iMAC 15,1」

07. Save as on the desktop ( or any where )

08. Replace the config.plist by the config.plist you just save.

09. Unplug the USB stick , restart the computer , into bios setting , choose ( UEFI + XXXX ( Disk OSX be installed ) ) as boot device.

10. DONE

This is my first hackintosh build.

Work part :

HDMI , network , USB 3.0 , USB 2.0 , Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse .

Sleep , wake up , Shut down.

I also test disk speed , SSD will up to 400mb/s , SATA3 and USB3.0 will around 120~130mb/s.


Issus :

imessage , Bluetooth , WIFI not work.

Audio issus ( I have an usb audio-interface , so I didnt fix it , but I know it can be fixed )


At first , after I finished installation and restarted the computer , it stop before BIOS setting.

I cant into BIOS setting , and only thing I can do is press the power switch again and again and again.

but after . . . I went to sleep . . . . , problem just solved . . . . , I dont know why . . . .

So . . .

If the gear we have are all the same , u will get the hackintosh u want , dont worry , just follow the steps.

great post gives me hope clover might actually work! i use same mobo with i3 4330(same onboard gfx )....with chimera HD 4600 doesnt work...will follow your clover guide and post results
