A new Hackintosh baby was born yesterday… :)

With a friend (without OSX for awhile now), we could not resist yesterday to try our luck with an almost 5 years old motherboard he owns (GA-965P-DS4), and put a new quad core cpu in (Q6600), and some more ram (5 GB in total). It also has a new nvidia 210 graphics.

It runs Maverick perfectly, everything works
- sound
- firewire
- sleep
- ethernet
- wifi (with TP-Link pcie add-on)

It is even quite fast (considering its age), Geekbench 2 scores 5599 in 64-bit. :)

Honestly? I am very surprised that it runs Maverick so well.

My friend will use this as his primary internet machine (he is a musician and he has a Intel lga2011 cpu based production machine without net connection).

Hello,
could you please tell me which audio kext and dsdt was used.

I stumbled across this forum and this specific thread when researching Hackintosh systems. I have an old DS4 motherboard so I am hoping to copy the build you have here.

This will be my first Hackintosh build and as such I am looking to for all the help I can get. Is there a step by step guide I can use to get me from a blank system to a fully working one?

Many thanks in advance for any help.
