Motherboard
Gigabyte H370-HD3
CPU
i7-8700
Graphics
GTX 660
• Gigabyte Z390 UD latest Firmware
• 16 GB Crucial 2666 MHz RAM
• 500 GB Samsung Evo Nvme Pcie

First I upgraded the bios to the latest version.
Then i did a few changes in the UEFI BIOS
• disable Vt-d
• XHCI Hand-off enabled
• serial port disabled
• windows 8/10 features to Other OS

Then I prepared a UniBeast Catalina boot USB stick with installation of 10.15.4 to the internal 500GB SSD

With the USB bootloader the new clean install booted.
Download the actual Clover r5116 from

The following Clover custom installs (screenshots):
• installation for UEFI BIOS
• installation in the ESP
• all recommended drivers

Following kexts installed in 10.15 + other

(for my AMD Radeon card)
• USBInjectAll.kext (for yellow USB drive icons)

With Clover Configurator I did following very important
changes in my config.plist (screenshots)
- no graphics enabler needed-
• under Devices I had to set Audio Inject to 1
• under Kernel and kext patches I need two patches to get all USB 3 ports working.
• under Boot I had to set slide=0 for the aptio fix

That's it!!!
System is running absolutely perfect!!!
Very fast boot, shutdown and sleep!
Filefault is working. sound, USB 3.

@estofan Thank you for posting this. I have a similar setup as well and I'm having some weird millisecond interrupts when moving my mouse.

Have you noticed anything like this? I'm on 10.15.7, been having the issue since 10.15.4.

Thanks again for posting this!

Are you using the new F10j firmware or F9? Could you zip and post your full EFI folder?

I'm not sure which firmware I'm using, but I think it's F10j. Last I checked, I was switching back and forth between F10 and F9 to see if it helped.

The mouse is weird. I have a macbook pro 2019 that doesnt have the issue, but it just seems to randomly "jump" when I move it and it gets to a point where it becomes unusable (in a really annoying way). I'm not sure how to diagnose what could be going on either... Everything else works fine.

One of the other things is, the onboard Ethernet I will need to reboot into hackintosh maybe 2 or 3 times, otherwise it gets stuck going from On/Off in Mac, but works fine in my dual boot windows.

Any help would be appreciated - been dealing with it since Catalina..... I wish I could have kept Mojave, but so many applications are forcing Catalina.

Is your mouse an IR wireless mouse? have you tried moving the IR sensor usb adapter to a usb port that is closer to the mouse?

Yeh it is a G903 Lightspeed Logitech mouse. It's on the same distance as it is on my macbook pro 2019.

I really think it has something to do with the OS possibly not using something properly in hardware because the hackintosh is pretty beefy:

32 GB Ram, 8GB RX 580, Catalina Latest 10.15.7.

The problem is that it's not highly noticeable, just enough to get to me though. For anyone else, it's probably not a big deal but if I'm programming or gaming it's an OCD nightmare.

I have seen some strange things with IR transmitters with my Hackintosh. Having them plugged in the back isn't reliable. The range does seem worse than with my MacBook Pro.

I'll let you know if I see the same issue. My son's Hackintosh is the one with the Z390 UD motherboard, and I am going to upgrade him to Catalina. I may use Open core though. If it works, I'll post my EFI. I am using Open Core on my Z390 M Gaming hack but with Mojave.
