Comments

The motherboard, CPU and VGA card are water cooled and complete HDD-less. For more Information about my Cooling System, click here: FrankPr's Sysprofile (German Language). All of my water cool components are bought at Aquatuning Germany. As a result, my system is very very silent under load.
My CPU is overclocked up to 4,7 GHz (24/7) @1,352V (per offset, all powersave options on). Memory run @ddr3-1866, CL 9-10-9-28-1T, 1,50V.

I use a old Belkin USB Bluetooth adapter with Broadcom chip, that is no more available.

I use UEFI version 4802. Screenshots of my UEFI settings cab you find in the attachements (too many to embed in post).

Installation Notes

Installation was very easy. I read the guide on this side and make it.
I bought Mavericks at the app store for my late 2008 MacBookPro, i don't use it (battery runtime is shorter as under mountain lion).

MultiBeast Configuration for Mavericks

I use the DSDT free configuration. Installed drivers:

Awesome build! I really like the fact that you use 780 Ti and you watercool it!

I'm also using 780 Ti for my upcoming build. Could you please sum up what do you need to take in concern when installing 780 Ti? Just install the Nvidia web drivers, GraphicsEnabler=No and nvda_drv=1 ?

Ok thanks for the info. I have now built my new rig and installed the Gigabyte 780 Ti Windforce OC. It recognizes my card as Nvidia Ashley (see attachment).

Screen Shot 2014-04-29 at 13.19.29.png

Next I'm going to test OSX stock drivers vs. Nvidia web drivers. What about CUDA? Does it work with stock drivers? I need CUDA because I use Adobe's software (After Effects & Premiere).

Once I get everything running smoothly I will post a build thread here for you :)

How do I set nvda_drv=1 ?
I can't boot past motherboard screen with asus 780ti.
I have nvidia web drivers 331.01.01f04 on
OS X 10.9.2 (13C1021). I've tried both osx drivers and web drivers with graphicsenabler=no, with no success.

Any advice appreciated...

Add "nvda_drv=1" to the "Kernel Flags" key of your bootloader config.

How do I do that? I tried to find the option in multibeast but it appears it needs to be a manual addition. Terminal? text edit? I'm not sure.

My best guess is it is the org.chameleon.Boot.plist text file in /extra on my boot drive.

Should it look like this?:

...
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>nvda_drv=1</string>
...

Thanks!

Hi
I try to figure out how to make this working :)
First Maximus V Formula + i7 3770K + Gtx480
Bios version 1903 ( latest from asus website) - patched and flash with DPCIManager
I use multibeast630
I try to OV like 4.6 and to see this in Intel Power Gadget

my smbios.plist :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>SMfamily</key>
<string>MacPro</string>
<key>SMproductname</key>
<string>MacPro6,1</string>
<key>SMboardproduct</key>
<string>Mac-F60DEB81FF30ACF6</string>
<key>SMserial</key>
<string>F5KLTD16F694</string>
<key>SMbiosversion</key>
<string>MultiBeast.tonymacx86.com</string>
</dict>
</plist>

I don't know why I don't have :

SMbiosversion 4802
SMcputype 2561
SMmaximalclock 4700

What I missed? I should use DSDT or SSDT or both ?
